Big Love watchers

I think she stole the IPOD, I think that Bill's dad is in with Roman some how, and I think that Nikki is EVIL (i know its part of her story line)

BUT...

I LOVE THIS SHOW and am totally addicted!!!

I was looking at some of the biography on the actress that plays Nicki and she was in Boy's Don't Cry and got an oscar nomination for best supporting actress

We've got two more episodes to catch us all up. It's truly an interesting show!! It's far from my Sex and the City, but I really enjoy it!

I don't know if Rhonda stole the iPod or not...If she did steal it, maybe she feels entitled to anything that the Hendrickson's have seeing as how Roman feels about them...so she just flat out took it. Just a thought that came over me...

Anyone watch it last night????? What did you think of Barb's sister Cindy?????

I felt sorry for Barb's sister. She is in a difficult spot. The children are innocent & she loves them. Barb is in this weird sexual set up. Her family is torn apart. She could turn her sister in to the police but does not. I'm not sure what I think.LOL

I'm not sure if Bill's dad is in with Roman. I think he WANTS to be if it suits him. He seems like the type to do things just to get his way. I think Roman was the one poisoning him though...I don't think it was Lois. He kept bringing that "special drink" and encouraging him to drink it.

The old guy on the council that Bill went to visit (what was his name?), did he try to tell Bill that Roman killed his grandfather? Is that what he was getting at??

Yes that is what I understood.

Does Bill have 1/2 brother & sisters? Were are they at?

Roman is just awful. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he had something to do with Bill's grandfather's death. Wasn't it Roman who convinced Bill's father to make Bill leave the compound when he was 14 for the streets? Roman is threatened by Bill and has been since Bill was a child. He really creeps me out.

I love the way Nikki is so handy around the house. It cracks me up everytime she is fixing something like the dryer in this episode and the garbage disposal in a past episode. You never see Bill do anything like that.

Poor Ben, praying for his virtue to come back. He feels so guilty and is going to end up so confused and messed up in the head about sex.

I think she stole it too. I don't know any teen who would give up their Ipod (with all of their own songs downloaded on it) and she seemed to have a sneaky smirk on her face as they drove away.
Exactly!!! It was the smug, smirky look on her face that made me think she stole the I-Pod!

The way I understood it was that they were both in the car and maybe there was an accident. I think he was saying how awful Romal was because of the way he wrestled the compound from Bill's gf. I guess Roman was the accountant which is probably why you always see him with numbers. Bill must have 1/2 siblings but they aren't mention in the bio as are Nicki's

I thought it was Roman's poisoning drink that was causing Bill's father to be sick. Wouldn't put anything past Roman.

Cindy is just a bible-thumping weirdo, IMO. Why else would she keep bringing up all of the things that Barb is doing against the church and becoming horrified that Sarah would want to be a Southern Baptist? I liked Nikki's rant to get Cindy out of the house. She's useful sometimes, I suppose.

I liked how Margene "broke up" with Pam even though I think she's better off with that friendship than in the family she's dealt herself. She's just always so sad. She needs some meds and counseling.

I got the symbolism behind Margene's baptism, but did that mean that she was never baptised before? Can Mormon's be baptised more than once?

I can't believe they couldn't figure out that Roman was the one poisoning Bill's dad! They were all standing outside and Roman brings over this pitcher of what looked like toilet water, and tells them he needs to keep drinking the "special tonic", and he's praying for his quick recovery. He even brought some of his special toilet water to the hospital. Well, duhhh!

I really like this show though. Really quirky characters. It makes me sad that there are really people out there living like that, and bringing children into such a twisted lifestyle. That is not an organized religion, it's an organized child molestors club.

I think Frank knew Roman was poisoning him with that drink. Remember when he was in the hospital and Roman brought some over. When he was alone it was looking at the big cup of it and kind of gave it a funny look then pushed it away. I think he just wanted to blame it on Lois to be an ***. They obviously have an odd relationship and get off on being nasty to each other.

Utah Supreme Court Backs Polygamy Ban

By JENNIFER DOBNER, Associated Press Writer

SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Supreme Court upheld the 2003 bigamy conviction of a former police officer Tuesday, ruling that the state law banning polygamy is not unconstitutional.

The court said that religious protections of the U.S. and Utah constitutions "do not shield (Rodney) Holm's polygamous practices from state prosecution."

Holm was convicted of felony bigamy and two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, and had argued that the state's bigamy statute violated his right to practice his religion.

County prosecutors began an investigation after one of Holm's "spiritual" wives left the faith and sued him over the custody of their two children. The woman said she married Holm in a 1988 religious ceremony when he was 32 and she was 16. At the time, Holm already was legally married to the woman's sister and claimed another "spiritual wife."

The former Hildale police officer was sentenced to a year in jail and is now on court-supervised probation.

Holm and the women were members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a polygamist sect based in Hildale, Utah, and Colorado City, Ariz.

The sect split from mainstream Mormonism after the broader church renounced polygamy in 1890. The mainstream LDS church excommunicates members found to be practicing polygamy.

Earlier this month the
FBI placed the fugitive leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on the agency's Ten Most Wanted list with a $100,000 reward.

Warren Jeffs is accused of arranging marriages between underage girls and older men. He is charged with child sexual abuse in Arizona and being an accomplice to statutory rape in Utah.

Spoilers to follow.... don't read if you don't want to know...

So, Rhonda DID steal the iPod and she wants to be an actress. Ha ha! And, how icky is it that Roman will initiate her, or whatever the word was, on her birthday?

It was nice of Bill to help the Hollisters escape from Roman's wrath. I wonder where he'd send them to be safe and left alone with their lifestyle.

Wendy is up to no good. If one of the kids isn't his downfall, she will be. Although I can't understand why she'd bite the hand that feeds her. Maybe she'll have a big raise coming.

And, how about Margene being pregnant? Who'd have thunk that! I wonder how she'll explain that to the neighbors.

It was a good episode that they showed last night.... that I got to see on demand when I went home for lunch today since I cheated on Big Love and watched the housewives last night. Is the season finale on June 4th, after The Sopranos, or is it next Sunday?

Last night's episode was really good. I think the neighbor is going to cause problems. And what about the employee with the wills? Rhonda is just plain crazy. Why did she lie about winning the competition? Maybe just another one of the lies that she feels she needs to tell? I am glad Margie's pregnant but I wonder if they will cause something to happen or if she will actually have the baby. I am so sad this show is coming to an end. And I have to wait 2 weeks for the finale!! I hate all my shows coming to an end!

Ok, so did Bill Paxton have it put in his contract that we have to see his bare *** in EVERY episode? lol

Last night's episode was really good. It seemd like they are building up to a big season finale.
My predictions for the future...

-Nicki is going to be jealous and have a problem with Margie's pregnancy.
-Heather is going to eventually tell her dad about Sarah's family.
-Wendy is going to be a problem and will probably confront Bill to his face.
-Rhonda is going to want to escape but not sure how and will turn to Sarah and Barb for help.
-Barb is going to continue fight herself over living the principle and will eventually tell Bill.
-As much as Sarah loves her family, she'll rebel.
-Ben will continue to see Brynne.
-We will continue to see Bill's bare bottom in every episode. :thumbsup2

Anyone else have any predictions?

No, but you can do baptisms for the dead.
I just want to add too that I was so suprised by all the Mormon "lingo" and symbolism that is used in "Big Love". I am Mormon and I think that some of that stuff that they say would go over some people's heads if they weren't Mormon or at least had a good amount of knowledge about it.
