~ BIG LOVE on HBO ~ Season 5 ~ Winter 2011

What was up with Margene, Ana, and the boyfriend hugging like that?? It was really weird.

I'm hoping next season, someone will decide Bill's announcement was just Barb's bad dream.

I was thinking the same thing ... and next season, they'll probably say he ended up losing the election ...

Amanda Seyfried (Sarah) said on the red carpet at the Oscars that she is leaving the show ... I guess the thrill of the show is gone for her too ...

I'm guessing he'll be kicked out of office because polygamy is against the law. The families will be shunned and harrassed when they try to go back to their normal lives. Bill and Nicki will move back to Juniper Creek where Bill will take over. Margene will be drawn into something weird with Ana and Goran, and Barb will stay in the house and struggle with her angst.

I'm predicting it will turn into a morality tale in the end, where no one is truly happy and they all pay in one way or another.

The baby is Wanda and JJ's. When Bill was asking her what JJ was doing with the incest, she told him that he "me and him" inside her. Then JJ said it wasn't incest if there was no sexual intercourse. He was planning on doing the same to Nikki as well.

I think the whole point of this season was to show how low Bill can go. Is he any better than Nikki's father? How long will it be until he is on the same level?

I liked this season.

Didn't JJ tell Nikki that he was implanting her with an egg he had borrowed from their daugther? I don't think they burned, I believe we will find that someone saved them but they are seriously injured and unable to say how it happened. Poor Wanda but good for her that she got it together to tell Bill what was happening. She's going to need therapy for a long, long time. Alby tearing off the wall paper was great!! He's such an interesting character; has anyone ever seen the actor playing him in anything else?

What was up with Margene, Ana, and the boyfriend hugging like that?? It was really weird.

This can come to no good-the whole story line with Ana is odd. Goren certainly had no trouble showing how attracted he was to Margene in the Immigration office.

I started to feel bad for Albi. Struggling with his homosexuality and their religion is driving him insane. I'm sure there is mental illness mixed in with that as well but when he was crying at the feet of his dead lover, it really made me feel awful for him.

I can't wait for this. I should set the dvr just in case so I don't have to worry when it's on the rest of the week,

I have really enjoyed this series and will be sad to see it end. Even my DH watches!

I like the Juniper Creek characters especially Wanda Wanda! And Alby, too.

I have not had HBO since BL ended last March, I called Friday and am all set!!!! Bring it on!!!! :happytv:

Yayyy! Can not wait to watch..

gotta say.. I am keeping HBO just so I can finish up BIG LOVE's last season.

I am hoping I can suck it up after it is done to decrease our movie channels and decrease our cable tv costs this spring. Gotta be strong!! :)

Good for you momrek06!!!:thumbsup2

I have been re-watching the series, I started back in December. Today, I started Season 3. It will be a little while before I start Season 5 (which is not bad, that way I can stockpile a few episodes). I like having episodes ahead, that way I don't have to wait 'til the next week to find out what happens! I figure I will run out of episodes before S5 is over and will eventually end up having to wait week to week!

It is a great show, I absolutely love it, I am sad that this is the final season.

I hope this season, esp considering it is the last, is better than last season.

I do hope so!

Well, at least Shameless looks all set to be my next guilty pleasure. If the episodes are all as good as the pilot, I'm set.

I enjoyed last night's episode. I'm glad to see that they are focusing on the family again. All of those distractions from last season really took away from what the show started out to be.

I was so glad when Barb reminded Nikki that they stood by her through a lot bad stuff. It seems like Nikki has forgotten all of the mess she created in the past.

Great episode!!! Loved it!!!

OMG, it was so sad seeing everyone berating them. Even the Boy Scouts.

I am guessing Sara will not be coming back. :sad2:

Albie's wife ... she is one scary lady. :scared:

I was hoping to see Bill's mother last night.

Loved that the only people who came to the open house were other closet polygomysts.
