Big let down at AKL

I paid for Savannah bunk bed room and was given an obstructed veiw room with bunk beds. The resort said they are getting rid of bunk beds and this was all that was left. Then to make matters worse I got locked out on the balcony because the door handles came off and had to have maintenance come in my room 10pm to fix it. If I would have known this I would have just reserved cheapest room. By the way the hassle is not worth the free fastpass they gave us. I would have just liked to have the room I paid for.

I would have politely asked to have the rate changed to standard view rate.

If they can't change your room do as @Brett Wyman suggested and ask the manager on duty for a rate reduction.

They decided to give me a 500 dollar credit. She said that is the difference in price if I were to have booked standard veiw for the three nights I'm here. Thanks for advice.[/QUOTE]

UPDATE ON MY OP. DESPITE WHAT HAPPENED ON ARRIVAL DAY WE HAD AN AMAZING TIME AT THIS RESORT. DISNEY RESOLVED THE ISSUE AND I'M THANKFUL FOR THAT. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS RESORT TO ANYONE.

Don't ever be afraid to speak up regarding your room view. I've done it several times in the past and have been moved. Don't be nasty about it, but politely suggest that you made the reservation a long time ago and I expected to have a particular view.
