Just to let everyone know about the modified seats. I am a BIG girl 5'2 and about 285lbs all my weight is around my butt and stomach...BIG GIRL and I rode the ride today in the modified seats....so much fun and I am so happy that I will be back next Tuesday. So don't worry so much as Ithink most people will fit in the new seating.

Great update.:thumbsup2

Are only some seats modified, and if so, how do they queue you to get the modified ones?

Everyone except single rider goes in one line through the castle. Just before you get to the loading area the line breaks into three lines. The far left is single rider, middle is for modified seats, and far right is normal seats.

The TM will stop you at this point if you look like you might need a modified seat. Before they were putting everyone in test seats but lately it looks like they have just been asking people to go to the middle line without trying them.

If you don't know what to look for it isn't obvious that the middle line is for larger people. I think they are doing a really good job not making people feel singled out. (and the middle line is just as long as the "normal" line some days!)

So glad you got to ride :thumbsup2

And thanks for sharing your details.......I know I`m still in 2 minds about whether I would fit or not, but it looks good.

Now I just need to worry about the motion sickness part :rotfl:

I'm still a little worried about one of my best friends riding (she was denied the first time) but hopefully she won't have a problem in the modified seats! She is tig bittied.

Okay, so if you need a modified seat you go into a seperate line....does this mean that you don't get to ride with the rest of your party? DBF is quite a bit smaller than I am but I still want to be able to ride next to him.

Your entire party is moved into the separate line. They have modified one seat on every eighth vehicle (approx.) This way the larger person can sit in the modified seat and the rest of the party can sit with them.

What if you are a party of two and both need modified seating? I was able to ride in August/Sept, but as a single rider sat in an end seat each time (which as you know is slightly bigger than the two middle seats) and due to a big butt and belly, the CM had to push down to get that third click. I'll be there again next week, but this time my husband will be with me. He is 5'9", about 210 lbs, and big chested. Like most men, he has no butt, but is very broad chested. What if we both need modified seating? Also can you use single rider and still get in the modified seating line once you get to the front? We'll probably go through once so he can see everything, but then go back through single rider. For single rider I know we'll be seperated, but would like to sit together the first time.

I was told both seats on the end were the modified seats.

Yes, the seats on the ends were modified on some cars. They direct you to those seats. Anyone can ride in them, but when my friend who didn't need one sat in one, she said that she moved around more in the seat than in the other ones.

Yes, you can still get into the modified seats from singles. Just let the attendant know, if they don't automatically put you there.

Thanks! We'll be there in just a couple of days.:cool1::cool1:

I was starting to get worried. Glad I came across this thread. I'm 6'3", 265lbs.
So by the sounds of it I can still ride.
