Actually, next town Coldwater, which is where I work. Coldwater has the 2nd biggest Arab-American population in Michigan (even though it is a relatively small town of 12,000).

Anyway, my co-worker who saw it said the FBI, state police, city police, and sherriff went in in full gear (bullet proof vests, helmets, etc.) to a house where some Arab-Americans lived. Guns drawn, etc. Took out several boxes of things.

Don't know entirely what it is about yet, but rumor has it that Wal-Mart called and said "they" had been buying "several" Playstation II. Apparently there is some kind of chip in them that can be used for things. Trying to find some news on it now, but our news website, http://www.wwmt.com is down right now.

Where is Coldwater? I originally from St. Clair County. I've never heard of Coldwater.

Coldwater is right off of I-69 near the Indiana Border.

Like what?

Blondie,
I'm not exactly sure what they are using them for, but I read about this awhile ago on the bestbuysux.org board. They obviously have found some use that our govt is trying to prevent.

COLDWATER (NEWS 3) - Coldwater residents say the FBI, U.S. Customs and police were searching homes in the city for much of the day Wednesday. Authorities did not reveal what the activity was about.

Residents say they saw the agents searching at least four houses in downtown Coldwater, where there is a significant Arab-American community. “I looked over to the house across the street and there were FBI agents wearing bulletproof vests and checking their guns,” said one resident.

The searches appeared to go on uneventfully. City police did confirm they assisted the FBI in their actions.
