Big Dilemma

I just am not sure if we are going to have time to do both MGM and Epcot on our trip in a few weeks and I was hoping for some divine insight from you guys If you had to choose, would you pick MGM or Epcot? Of course I am sooo torn because I really want to ride ToT and RnRRC at MGM but I also really want to try Soarin (and I know the kids would love it too)!

There is a chance we could get to Epcot for the second half of a day, but I am afraid all the FPs would be gone by then for Soarin. One reason I am having a hard time deciding is that I feel like there isn't *that* much for my kids (3, 7 and 9) to do at MGM besides shows and I am probably wanting to go there more for myself There is probably more at Epcot for them to see and do.
What do you think?

We've done both parks in one day. Because your children are the ages that they are...u can definitely do both parks. We went very early in the morning to MGM (which by the way my DD loves...7yrs her first time going) then left around 1pm for Epcot. Epcot was less fun for her and even now(11yrs) We had no problems with FP's ...that really depends on the time of year and crowd levels. I'd recommend making a good game plan for both parks before going. There are lots of sites that give great info on park strategy as well as these boards. HAVE FUN

That's a tough one....We love Epcot almost as much as MK, so for us it would be Epcot...except DH loves the new Stunt show. Your boys might love that too. Other than that, I feel like the shows at MGM are more girl-oriented with Ariel and B&B. There would be things that they would enjoy at MGM, but I think I would vote for Epcot. There is more to see and do for all of you there. And Soarin' is an excellent ride!

I would definitely choose MGM. That is my 2nd favorite park. I think MGM offers such a variety of attractions to please everyone, especially your little one. I don't think my almost 3 yo did any attractions at EPCOT, athough, the rest of us loved Test Track and wanted to try Soarin', except the wait was TOO long! If I could only choose one I would definitely go the the Studios.

This is probably going to be split 50/50. For us, it would be Epcott. DD9 actually prefers Epcott, which was surprising for me. She wanted to go there our first day last Fall, and we returned several times. DD LOVES Figment, as well as all the rides Epcott has to offer. She also loved particpating in KIDCOT booths, getting a stamp at each country.We only went to MGM once our last trip, DD only wanted to ride TOT and RRC.

If you are going to split the day be aware that Sorin often runs out of FP relatively early in the day.

I would say MGM. There's more to do there.

Start out in Epcot (be there first thing in the morning)~ get a FP for Soarin' so you can do that right away. If you have to wait a little while to use your FP go over to The Living Seas and see Turtle Talk with Crush - all of you will love that show

It's really easy to combine Epcot and MGM into one day since the parks are so close to one another. Go out the International gate and take a Friendship Boat to MGM after you do some things at Epcot.

When you get to MGM you should still be able to get FPs for ToT and/or RnR if you'd like. Do make sure to see the Beauty and the Beast show (get there early enough to see the pre-show-it's great). The Muppet 4D is also a must-see for us.

Of course this plan works best if you are NOT going during the summer or school vacation time. Good luck ~~~ I hope you're able to experience the *best* of both parks.

I would try to do both. I know Epcot closes later and illuminations is cool, although I like Fantasmic better.

If I had to choose one, Epcot.

Since you are going in early February you should be able to do both parks. Crowds shouldn't be too bad unless there is something special going on. We enjoyed both of these parks and actually went to them more than the MK. There were 6 of us ages were 4 22 49 and 70.
