I heard about this this morning while coming into work. Just think, this is what our $14 billion taxpayer dollars went to.

As I said in another thread, this morning, this is tragic. It is horrible that this young woman lost her life in this incident.

Just think, this is what our $14 billion taxpayer dollars went to.

While more money might have made things safer, I believe no amount of money can protect against an societal environment where many people's (in this case, construction contractors') main objective is to work any system they encounter to their own personal advantage, regardless of the possible impact on others.
