Big Diff Cat 1/Cat 2 HDDR?

Hi All! I am wondering if there is a big difference between Cat 1 and Cat 2 seating at HDDR? I have a 4pm Cat 1 res in Dec and a 6:30pm Cat 2 res the same day. I am wondering which you would keep? We are staying at WL and will be going to MK in the morning/afternoon (it is a MVMCP day) and then going back to the resort later for HDDR. That evening we plan to go to Epcot where EMH will be going on until 11pm. We are a party of 2 young adults in our 20s and the price difference is not an issue. Also we have a car rental if that makes a difference.

for your party it wont make a difference but some of Cat 2 seating is upstairs no elevator have to climb stairs not a bad view but for me climbing the stairs is a problem. also remember there is no car parking at HDDR so if you take your car you will have to allow time for internal bus ride to other end of campground from front parking lot and back to your car. if you task the boat from WL or MK it is a short walk from dock to HDDR

Both categories are great, so, personally, I would choose which time works best based on how you want to tour the parks that day. Would you rather have more time in MK and do the 6:30 pm? Or have more time in EP by doing the 4 pm show? Also, just know, HDDR is at Ft. W, not WL. You can access Ft. W by boat directly from MK (if you want to go from there) or by boat from WL (if you want to go back to WL before heading to Ft. W. Pioneer Hall is just a short walk from the Ft. W boat dock). I would recommend taking a bus to EP after HDDR. The bus stop is a short walk from Pioneer Hall. Driving to Ft. W is not very convenient. It will be easier to take the boat to Ft. W, see the show, then bus to EP from there (you could also consider a Minnie Van which will pick you up near Pioneer Hall for $20). When you are done at EP, simply take the bus back to WL.
