While making my daily call to try to lower our rate to a AP garden view, I was told by the CM-wow you sure have called a lot. Allways been suspicious that the track calls this way with all the info they take. Actually yesterday, I was put on hold and I think the CM called a supervisor to get me that, but failed.

I would sure feel better if it was anonymous as I'm very suspicious on stuff like this......

I figured that out years ago when making a PS at the front desk one night for the 50s PT and the CM said, you sure like to eat there don't you?

Yes, absolutely, Disney knows as much about me as my Uncle Sam does. And anyone who thinks they don't are wrong.

DD want's want to have her Birthday Dinner at Jiko, so when I phoned to make the PS, the CM commented, "Geez, you were just here at the end of August! You made a lot of PS's then and are you sure you don't want any more!?" I just laughed and said that we were doing a cruise this time and only needed the one PS. Found out she was from St. Croix, so I managed to get a bit of info regarding St. Marten!

Maybe that's why I don't get any of the special offers, "They" know I will be coming back no matter what!LOL

I have made/used/cancelled/inquired about more reservations than I can remember. I have answered the questions about names/ages/phone/address etc. a zillion times!! When I called this morning the CM told me that there was NO info (AGAIN) and I had to do it all over again- AS USUAL! How can that be? Are they checking to make sure I give the same info every time? I told her that I have told them this so many times before that I can't believe it isn't in the computer but she said it wasn't there. We stay there at least once a year and were there last this summer for 2 visits, so it is current info. Who knows? I like making reservations at any hotel chain so much better- you are off the phone in 3 minutes after getting a quote first, without your life history!

The other day as I was contemplating how handy it would be to use our resort key to charge it dawned on me how much info that would generate for Disney! Booking habit, eating habits, tipping habits, shopping habits. Wow, after just one trip they will know alot about me!

I'm not sure how it works with Disney, because everything varies from center to center, but I used to work at a call center, and EVERY call was logged. If you had called, we knew when, why, who you spoke to, and the outcome of the call.

And as for having to give your information, their systems might be sensitive. If there's a typo, it won't find you.

I wouldn't want it to get around how often I dine at Chef Mickey's or the Crystal Palace. That kind of information is could threaten life as we know it.

jarestel, that was good.

I don't know, I sorta like it that they know what I like, this way they can cater better to me if they have specials, etc.

I wish some of the CM's at the Polyneisan conciege would use that information to make their guests feel special during their stays. For instance, "Mrs. Smith I see that you really liked O'Hana's last time you were here, would you like me to make a PS for you on this visit??"

Now don't get me wrong, there are a few really good CM's there, and my new favorite CM is their Manager John. I just wish they ALL cared enough to learn a little from the information they have to make you feel like you are getting "conciege" service.

You know - what would happen if we die-hard fans just STOPPED CALLING? We spend tons of money at Disney and I think the CM who said this to you should be fired! It makes me mad. I'll call as much as I want - I pay for a deluxe resort and spend tons of money a year on my trips.

It's really annoying!

I'm not sure what all their computer has but I know it has but from my call yesterday I know it has:

names and ages of every person I have taken with me on previous trips (hmm...guess if you go when your child is 1 you can't trun around 3 years later and say they're only 2) And since this next trip is only DH & myself--I had to wait while they 'deleted" everyone else from the list!!!!!

all of my PS from previous trips

all of my phone calls just ASKING about rates & such plus all of my made reservations.

I can't stand calling now and am seriously thinking of using my secondary phone number (or a made up one) to just get a quote. It takes WAAAYYYY too long on LONG DISTANCE just to get info from Disney. I wish I hadn't lost my list of 800 numbers!!!!

Belle 1962, here is the 800 number I now ALWAYS use.

800-828-0228

Much cheaper.......
