You're trying to reason with someone that thinks it's hilarious to watch someone struggle in pain. Not worth it the time.
Yes, it was funny to watch him struggle, and yes, he's a deadbeat. I'd never say it if he didn't act the way he did throughout the show. The way he acted throughout the past two months was truly disgusting. The fact that his own daughter didn't talk to him for years, or his mother, says a lot. And nope, I wouldn't comment on that one either if it wasn't one of the biggest selling points of the show. That's all they talked about. Dick did nothing but act like an idiot throughout the entire game, and no one can keep up such a gross charade for as long as he did without it being who he is. But hey, like people have been saying since the beginning of the thread, if demeaning, emotionally and mentally abusing, and physically assaulting people is cool to you guys, then good for you 
It's like a white trash movie of the month! 
And maybe Dick wouldn't have been struggling so much if he had conserved his energy rather than using it to berate Zach. Daniele's idea or not, it was insane how he was acting and he went way too far. Aw, an exiled daddy berating, abusing and assaulting others all to win back the love of his daughter
If you compare laughing at someone on a reality show to berating and emotionally abusing people (on a reality show or not) then hey, that's your opinion. I would never laugh at some random person in pain on the street. But on the show, yep, it was funny. After all of that screaming at Zach and making himself look like a complete loser, Dick couldn't make it to the end of the competition. It was a "don't talk the talk if you can't walk the walk" kind of a situation.
I don't understand. Isn't that what this whole thread has been about? Commenting on people we don't know, based on a tv show?
And nope, I have no respect for someone who treats other people like that, and even less respect for people who reward it. Like I said before, I don't know Dick personally (again, thank God!) but he acted like a complete idiot for a month and a half. It's hard to act in the same gross way for a month and a half simply out of strategy. Based on his past and the way he treated people in the house, I believe that's who he really is. And that's sad for him.Exactly! If he had been a good person then I would have been rooting for him. I liked him in the beginning and WAS rooting for him, until he let his true colors show. And yes, it's a reality show and the whole point is to make and break alliances, back-stab people and use some sort of strategy to make it to the end. If that's all he would have done, I would have thought he played a great game and I would have been rooting him on during the "carrot" competition and been amazed at how far he made it.
But, he willingly went on a reality show and made himself look like a horrible person. He berated, abused and assaulted almost everyone in that house. Half the things he said and did just to Jen were disgusting! He's 43-years old and he's 23. I can't imagine anyone treating me that way. And for everyone supporting Dick - how would you like it if that's how he treated YOUR daughter. I guess you would be OK with it, as long as he wasn't in pain
