Biff's Enchanted Birthday Trip...Twas' the week before Christmas

I love riding the monorail to Epcot. I love that you ride through the park before getting off. I read somewhere that they did that wrong-it was supposed to be that you got on the monorail to leave Epcot and then you went through the park.

I thought I saw a lot of Christmas trees!? You have me beat! :lmao: Ooops sorry 'bout the crying baby. That was me. :lmao: Kidding :p
:rotfl2:

Sorry about the screaming kid. I'm a mom of three and fully aware that not everyone enjoys my babies cries!
Can't wait to hear where your walk takes you next.
not during a show. the worst is in a movie theater. if anywhere no problems. Basically if I spend money for a show I want to see that show, not hear a different show. We were elsewhere and a kid started screaming and the mother took him out.

that is so much fun.

When I left you we were touring the American pavilion, we have since moved on. :rotf:

Time to stop

Up next…

I get yelled at :rotf:

Yep the Soul of Shoalin show was really neat actually. I mostly went for KC but I enjoyed it too.

I thought you could only do that if you ate at CG? :confused3

I just thought you were not allowed up there. :confused3
ahhh, here is some advice for your next trip, i do believe that to just go up to california grill, you need a reservation to eat there, however, if you get into the elevators and ride up to i believe 11th or 12th floor, whatever one is the highest you can ride without being considered the club or concierge level that needs the room card to get to that floor and exit the elevators, you can go to the exit doors which lead to the stairwells on the outside of the hotel...now you want to go the doors that are on the MK side but the ones that are not the closest to the MK, so it would be the set of stairs that is now closer to the new DVC.

have i lost you yet, good i will continue, you go out those doors and up a few flights of stairs and you are on the top of the contemporary, when they have wishes, they pipe the music in up there, and during the day it is just a great view, when it is time to leave, you walk to the doors that lead to the CG, the reason you have to go to the side that is now the closest to the DVC addition, is because when you go back inside, it will lead into a hallway that is by the restrooms and the elevators, if you go to the other doors, they all lead back into the restraunt and thus you would have to walk through all the tables to get back to the elevators to go down, so 3 of the viewing areas are bad, and 1 is good.

:)

we have been doing this for years, and is always so much fun to see and experience.

Love your update, Scott. So give us a hint. . . . . . do you get yelled at by Biff???:scratchin

Great updates! Tokyo Dining looks GORGEOUS! What a pretty restaurant. And I can only imagine what happens in the next update... :lmao: Can't wait to read all about it!

I had a screaming baby during that show a long time ago. I was nice and took her out though. I loved the pictures of China. I never really looked around in there before. Yet another must do on my next trip.

I'm glad to hear that Biff really did have a good time!:goodvibes Don't you just love strolling through the countries & exploring? The displays in China are amazing! :thumbsup2 Did I hear someone mention Christmas trees????? :rotfl:

I just googled the observation deck and all the sites say it is open during dinner and the public observation deck is on the fourth floor. If I saw signs saying this way to see the views from observation deck I would be comfortable doing it. Otherwise I feel like they don't want you to.

Love your update, Scott. So give us a hint. . . . . . do you get yelled at by Biff???:scratchin
thank you
find out shortly

I always take pictures of the Tomb warriors too.
Let the yelling begin!:rotfl:

After China we made our way over to Norway. Maelstrom was not crowded so we jumped in line.

This is where I got in trouble. I did not warn someone of the drop and the going backwards. :rotf: I heard about it for a half hour afterwards. I was cracking up.

We got off in time to get through the doors before they shut.

We then looked around the gift shop.
PC176144.jpg

I love “Deadliest Catch” and wanted one of these but they were only in female sizes.
PC176145.jpg

A guy in there told that Sig was there the Saturday before. I would have loved a pic.

PC176146.jpg

PC176147.jpg

I told him to stick his finger in the nose but he said he would not. Such a proper lady.
PC176148.jpg

We walk towards Mexico as Firekymmie called me and told me they were in that area. I stop and get a fiesta margarita first.
Now we are off to meet an “Enchanted” person, FireKymmie and her hubby. That is not him in the pic. :rotf:
Look at Biff. He is sick and I make him take a pic with a stranger.

Very nice people. We chatted it up for awhile and then we parted ways. We made sort of plans for the next night to meet up possibly if the schedules worked out. Do they?

After we left them we go into Mexico.

Menu –
Me:
App: Arancini Crispy Risotto - Italian Sausage, Quaitro Formaggi, and White Truffle Aioli
Ent: Filet Jardiniere - Oak-grilled Filet of Beef with House-cured Vegetables, Quattro Formaggi Crushed Potatoes, and Veal Glacé
Des: Warm Chocolate Banana Tart - vanilla ice cream and caramelized bananas
Drink: Glowtini

Biff:
App: Gateau of Crab - Jumbo Lump Crab, Orange Fennel Cream, and Tomato Fennel Slaw
Ent: Braised Veal Shank - Carrot-Potato Puree, Roasted Vegetables, and Toasted Citrus Gremoloda
Des: Coffee

**Reviews**
Me – I loved this meal. It was great from the start. The risotto was delicious. The filet I asked for well done but was more medium well but it was still fantastic. The dessert was bomb diggity.
Highly recommend.

Biff – Citricos is very expensive, 2 credits - food worth it - disappointment was dress code - business casual requested - but jeans, shorts & tee shirts and sneakers were allowed while we were there
app: Gateau of Crab - Jumbo Lump Crab, Orange Fennel Cream, and Tomato Fennel Slaw - good
ent: Braised Veal Shank - Carrot-Potato Puree, Roasted Vegetables, and Toasted Citrus Gremoloda - very good cut with a fork
des: coffee

Here is a pic of my dessert.

Then we left and of course I took a few pics on the way out.

SDC10882.jpg

I went up to the Rix Café and got an OJ and then we watched some TV. Biff fell asleep rather quickly so I went out and sat out by a bench and just took it all in. It was so peaceful and relaxing.
Then I watched Stacy and went to bed.

Up next…
Day 7….Animal Kingdom

I just googled the observation deck and all the sites say it is open during dinner and the public observation deck is on the fourth floor. If I saw signs saying this way to see the views from observation deck I would be comfortable doing it. Otherwise I feel like they don't want you to.

yeah i know they have one on the 4th floor, but the views just are not the same as the very top, if you did not want to go the sneaky sneaky way, if you go on the off dinner hours, and asked to just check it out, they might let you.

i am sure it is suppose to be just for the guests that are eating, but they have never said anything to us, it might be my secret agent skills
:cool1:

i dont think i could have eaten there, i can not pronounce half of the stuff that came with themeals, were they just fancy namees for things?

or what was it that came with them

Your dinner at Citrico's sounds amazing! What a neat surprise the personalized menu was! The gingerbread house is huge! It's amazing they can make them so big!

Citricos looks good but way too rich for my blood. My DH is a very simple eater and isn't in to fancy food. I love the Gingerbread House. That is a definite must-see in December. My aunt always stays at the Grand Floridian and was there 2 years ago at the same time we were. We stopped by to see her and got to see it in person, words can't describe it. The attention to details is amazing. Are you sure Biff was having a good time? I know he wasn't feeling well and it really shows in some pictures. I hope he felt better at some point.
