Has anyone gone here recently? Looking into going next summer but my kids and myself are somewhat picky eaters and the onlne menus Ive seen are not too promising for us..lol Is there American food offered at all at the buffet? (for both kids and adults) The whole atmosphere looks so fun... we really want to try it!

Nope. There is rotisserie chicken , some benign salads, cold sausages and a Mac n cheese dish. But no pizza, burgers etc..It is one of the few WS eateries where there is no Americanized childrens menu.My 6 yr old is the pickiest eater known to man and LOVES it here.I am not the most adventurous eater and I LOVED the sauerbraten and Schnitzel

We were just there a couple of weeks ago. My son, 10, is a very picky eater and he found plenty to eat. Don't let the names on the menu keep you from going. The food will look appealing to a picky eater and they'll eat it. We had a great time!

It's very good. They have kids stuff, chicken, sausages (which can pass as "hot dogs")... I think it's a very good choice.

The buffet offers something for everyone. I'll be there Monday evening. :thumbsup2

We took the kids there last year (ages 2-1/2 & 4-1/2 and very picky eaters) but there was enough things like mac n' cheese and brats (that looked enough like hot dogs to pass :) ) They did fine.
Even I am not a huge fan of German food so I sometimes have trouble finding things I want to eat here - but this is by far one of if not my favorite place to eat in EPCOT. If you go you will have a great time!

I agree with the poster who said not to let the names of the food prevent you from going. I'm not a big fan of German food but this is our must do for every trip! I love the little meat patties with gravy ( taste kinda like ground chuck patties). There are a few food pics on the food pictures thread (there's a sticky on the first thread with restaurants listed so you don't have to plod through all the posts). It's a great place to eat and the show is fun!

2 words...pretzel bread!!! :O)
They have chicken, mac and cheese, like 10 diff kinds of hot dog looking items, salad, the dessert is like pudding, tha was soooo good!! The atmosphere is so worth it though!!! :O)
Me and hubby loved it!!!
However, if you have super pickky kids, like mine, they prolly wouldn't eat much there..we wound up in China last trip with the kiddies!:O)

My kids are picky - but love the atmosphere - we go here everytime (we'll be there a week from tomorrow!). They alwasy seem to find something that they like.

My mother is VERY picky and only likes plain food. The Biergarten is one of her favorites, the buffet offers several choices for everyone.

Oy! Oy! Oy!

We love it! DD is picky and she loves it, too. We're actually having Christmas Eve dinner here!

We love this place & one of their menu changes just made it more inviting for picky eaters. Their tasty wienerschnitzel is now breaded chicken cutlets instead of the traditional breaded veal cutlets. I think you'll also like their creamy potato soup, mac & cheese, spaetzle (buttered noodles), roasted chicken, baked salmon, carving station, variety of cooked veggies, fresh pretzle bread & soft bread, basic salads, & desserts. If you give it a try, I think you & your family will really enjoy it. Plus, their atmosphere & entertainment can't be beat!
