I really want to try Biergarten on our next trip but my kids are REALLY picky eaters. Will they have anything the kids will like?

We have been there several times with my picky eaters. They always find something to eat. Mac and cheese, rolls, desert they should be able to find something they like.

They have mac and cheese if they will eat that. I don't know how picky they are, if they'll only eat Kraft mac and cheese it might not work. I don't think Biergarten has the ubiquitous chicken nuggets. At any rate even if they had stuff the kids loved, you'd probably have a difficult enough time getting them off the dance floor long enough to eat anything.

We will have 4 kids with us, ages 4, 9, 11, & 14. Will it entertain all of them? I wondering if the 4 year old will be bored...:confused3

My 3 and 4 year olds had a BLAST at Biergarten. They danced and danced! Your 4 year old will not be bored. Ask if you can be seated by the dance floor if possible. It's really a lot of fun for little ones.

As for food, if your kids like hot dogs, they'll be fine. If they like fried chicken breasts, they'll be fine. There's mashed potatoes. Roasted meats. Several potato options. Many breads to choose from. There are tons of choices.

EDIT: The 14 year old might adopt a "too cool for this attitude" but that's the risk with anything. I wouldn't worry about the little ones. A 4 year old would definitely dance and I think a 9 year old is likely to do the same. They also play familiar favorites like the chicken dance.

You know your children the best. Just take a look at the Biergarten Menu right here on the DIS. :disrocks:

This is a picture of my DS's plate - then 6. He ate lots of meats and rolls that night but he actually found he liked some things we never thought he would.

Top right (working around plate clockwise) roast pork, standard Stouffer's like mac and cheese, Pork with a mushroom gravy (Hunter's pork maybe?), carrots, sausages and Schnitzel Wiener Art (Breaded Pork Schnitzel Vienna Style).

What helped even more was the band and the desserts. They had plain fruit salad and then he found out he LOVED berry compote with vanilla sauce. Who knew? :confused3

Hope this helps some with your decision. :)

my sons have always loved it there! They eat rolls/butter...roasted chicken legs, roasted potato wedges..carrots....marinated tomatoes...one of my guys loved the salmon, and the other liked the roast pork, and "hot dogs" sliced up. they got a huge glass of chocolate milk and lots of cheesecakes for dessert! We are going back in April and I wanted to try Tutto in Epcot and they are giving me a hard time...they want to go back to Biergarten "ticky tocky ticky tocky" !! Go you will all love it!

I am a 29 year old who eats like a picky 8 year old so I can totally relate! The thing I like about buffets is that you can see what all the food so it's not like you are ordering blindly. I was nervous about the first time eating at Biergarten but there was plenty for picky eaters like me! There is chicken schnitzel, which is basically just a plain, breaded cutlet. There's also good potatoes and pretzel bread! Yum! I think you should def make an ADR! If the kids are hungry...they'll eat!

Here's my plate....chicken, potato wedges, mashed potatoes, meatball, salad, tomato, macaroni, pretzel bread and buttter... YUM!

Here is a Dis FF tip. The Pretzel bread is better or the same as Le Cellier.

Really.

Hate to start a "Must Have Trend" but the pretzel bread is worth the trip.

your kids will find nothing to eat at biergarten. dont waste your time. hope this helps.

If your kids are that picky, then I would say Biergarten may not work for you..There is plenty of things they might like. But No chicken tenders, fries, spaghetti, pizza that you find elsewhere..There is a Mac n cheese dish, Lots of little sausages, rotisserie chicken etc.My 6 yr old loved it, but only because she found that she liked sausages. She did not like the chicken or the mac n Cheese

I was worried about this, too. And, I was really surprised to discover that it was one of my kids' favorite restaurants. In fact, it's on the "must do" list for next June.

We were there a year ago last July. My kids at that time were (almost 5) and 13. They're both fairly picky eaters.

In truth, *I* wasn't looking forward to Biergarten, either...but I walked away being really glad we'd gone there.

My DD (she is 11) is a ridiculously picky eater. I am always so embarrassed, like I have failed as a mother, considering my DH and I are the opposite of picky eaters! We love all food and all ethnic foods, vegetables, meats, etc.

Biergarten is a MUST DO for us almost every trip. My DH loves the huge beers, and all the meats on the buffet. I love the atmosphere, entertainment and of course the food, too. My DD LOVES the entertainment...and she loves the food, too! She always gets the pork schnitzel...it is a very white pork and crispy and I swear, it could probably pass for chicken. The mac and cheese is also great...and yeah, she does like the bread and I don't mind if she fills up on it. I am not going to say we get our money's worth...but with DD, we NEVER get our money's worth at a buffet. Of course, her dad and I make up for it, LOL!:)

The only one who *might* be bored is yor 14 year old. DD is just now feeling "too cool" to go on the dance floor, which kills us, because she has been out on that dance floor at least once a year since she was 3. Honestly, your 4 year old will probably have the best time of all!!!

Have fun!

My youngest son is *SO* picky, and he always finds things to eat there. We've gone in a large group that consisted of kids of ALL ages and everyone had a great time.

Our group loves the Biergarten. We have been at least 4 times and it is one of their favorites. Their ages are 10, 8 and 3. The variety is big and the dessert choices are one of the best on property I think.
We just went again last week for our Candlelight Processional dinner.

This is basically what we thought about our 3 when we made the reservation. So we scheduled bkfast at Cape May, lunch at WCC and late dinner at Biergarten so at least they couldn't complain cause I wanted to try Biergarten. The teenager gobbled down some sausages, mac & cheese & left to explore WS while the grandaughter who doesn't eat much anyway was too busy down on the dance floor to care and the picky grandson thought he was in giant chicken nugget heaven (the chicken schnitizel). :rotfl:
