This place looks like a lot of fun, but I am a vegetarian. Is there much to choose from besides meat? My mom is a meat-eater, though, so she will be fine. I'd love to hear thoughts or see pictures! Thanks!

I guess it would depend on your definition of a vegetarian. (No Offense)

Many people who call themselves vegetarian eat fish, some chicken, other even pork.

If you are a no red meat vegetarian then it may be ok.
They have salmon as well as a lot of chicken.

If you are a strict vegetarian then I would have to say no.
They do have a nice selection of vegetarian and potatoes dishes, but it may not be worth the price at dinner (About 29).

If you go at lunch time it is about $20, so that may not bad at all.

I would review the menu on line and then decide.

There are definitely a lot of meat options, but I remember there being a lot of salad options too (there was a really yummy beet salad). I also remember eating a lot of cheese spatzle. I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't really like sausages and stuff like that, so I stayed away from it at Biergarten and I still had a lot of stuff to choose from.

We went a couple weeks ago on our trip. I didn't really go for the food (I'm vegan & my dd is vegetarian) but for the atmosphere and b/c my husband was born in Germany and it was a special ADR that I knew him and his father would love. THEY DID! We spent 2 hours there.

There is plenty of vegetarian food, imo, I had less options, but like I said, I didn't go for the meal. They have lots of salad dishes, potato dishes, potato soup, breads, pretzels, desserts, and a couple veggie dishes, I think it is fine for a vegetarian. What I did eat was very good! The potatoes were yummy!

I wish I had taken pics of the food, but I forgot! Here are a couple shots I took:

The beer was good too! ;)

Thanks guys! The pictures are awesome - it looks HUGE in there and I totally never realized it! I appreciate the advice :)

Our family loves Biergarten. DS15 is the only REAL meat eater in our family. DH and I are not vegetarians anymore. We cheat with turkey, chicken, and fish but try to eat a lot of vegetables. My youngest son does not eat red meat, either. There is plenty for all of us. The atmosphere and the food is great. Especially on Thanksgiving!

just tell them you have a dietary restiction........ you are a vegetarian and they will make you something special. That is what they did for my niece who eats nothing animal at all!
