Happy New Year 2009!

We have ressies at the Biergarten in March for a 3pm late lunch/early dinner. 5 adults and a 6 yr old.

Does anyone have any pictures?
Can you confirm that the 2007 menu posted is still current?

We thought this would be a fun easy place to take a 6 yr old - anyone have any comments on the entertainment and the food?

The kids LOVE getting up and dancing with the German band.

I like the food myself, but I can't comment on how kids like the food as I don't have any. (Kids, not food)

We went in August, and won't be back:scared1: . DD who was 9 and has aspergers and sensory problems, found it way too loud there. Food wasn't that great, but ok. If 6 year old has any problems with sounds, I would recommend to stay away. DD left in tears... not a fun night for us. .

I know others love it, the music was good, but between the "noise" and the family style tables, we won't be back. On the other hand, we went to Hoop De Doo the following night with our fingers crossed, and she loved it! Sometimes, I just don't know!:dance3:

Biergarten has long been a family favorite of ours. No pics to post and can't confirm the menu but can tell you there is a wide variety of food to choose from. The band plays 20-25 minute sets each hour. The restaurant is themed to feel like you are sitting outdoors in a Bavarian village on a fall evening.

We have lunch there every trip and just love the place. :)

I highly recommend Biergarten & I really think your family will enjoy it too! The kids at our table LOVED dancing on the dance floor- with many other kids from the restaurant. The band was fun and the adults really enjoyed the meal. They also had many kid friendly items like mac 'n cheese, potato soup, fried pork chops, and baked chicken...ask the server if you need other kid friendly items & the kitchen may make you something special. We love going here during every trip to WDW.

We enjoyed the Biergarten in July with our 2 sons, ages 3 and 1 at the time. The boys were happy with the mac and cheese. DS3 loved the pudding for dessert with chocolate chips in it, as well as the pretzel bread during dinner! We ate dinner there and we all enjoyed the show, but I don't think they have the band there during lunch. The food was excellent though, and DH and I love German food and have only one German place we will go to here at home, and this was excellent for us! My grandfather (may he rest in peace) had very high standards for German food (his mom came from Germany) and so there is only the one German place here we eat at because of that. I think even he would have enjoyed Biergarten! It also has a beautiful atmosphere, feels like you are outside in Germany but it is nice and comfortable in the air-conditioning!

Yes when we made the reservation they told us the show would be at 3:15, that's why we picked 3pm. Hopefully it will hold true for when we are there- perhaps I will check again as we get closer to the trip.

Thanks for your comments- makes me feel good about this choice!

We eat at Biergarten every trip-- it's our favorite! Even though German food has a reputation for being yucky, for some reason everyone always seems to love it.

Last week we ate there with extended family-- including my cousins and their kids (11, 10, 5, 3), and the children absolulely LOVED the food and spent a good portion of the meal on the dance floor with the band.

It was probably our favorite moment of our whole trip!

We loved our meal at Biergarten. In fact, my girls (7 and 5) ate more at this meal than any other meal. They found several different "sausages" they liked, and they liked the potato soup and mac & cheese. They ate better here than any chicken nugget meal elsewhere. They enjoyed going out on the dance floor to do the chicken dance and other things. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful - looks like you're sitting outside.

We went for the first time a couple years ago, and it was such a hit the kids asked us to go back. The pictures from the restaurant start at #38 and go through #48. DD was doing a Flat Stanley project for school, so that is why he is with us. :goodvibes

My kids are noise sensitive, don't love fireworks for that reason and they all did fine in the restaurant including when the band was playing. There were food options for the more and less adventure-some in the group.

If you click on my April link I have a ton of close up buffet pics. We have gone many times over the last 5 years and the food always seems to be the same and it is always awesome!

ahutton and mickeynicki, thanks for all the pics- I am really getting excited about going here, and appreciate your sharing! thanks!

We loved the place, but my 5 year old had trouble finding anything she wanted to eat. I wish I had thought to ask them if they could make her something. Something to keep in mind for next time!

We went to the Biergarten in August, and the kids (11 & 8 ) LOVED it.

My sister made a special request to have lunch there again this June.

We loved all the food, and the band.
