DH, myself, sis and her DH are going to F&W in October. He's Germany and we thought we'd do the Biergarten. What's the scoop as far as seating, the show itself, etc?
Not expecting gourmet food, just thought it'd be fun.

Thanks

You are seated at long wooden, benchlike tables. I think the tables hold 8, so if your party is less than 8 people, you will sit with others. The band comes on once an hour and plays for about 30 minutes. The kids go down to an area in front of the stage and dance. Its a lot of fun & the food is pretty good too.

I enjoy the Biergarten. The atmosphere is great and if you get to sit with talkative people its a lot of fun. The food is good as well. It's a little dark but I enjoy it overall.

We liked it a lot, I've been there a lot through the years, and I definitely liked it better pre-buffet. That being said, the food is good, the entertainment is great, and you don't have to talk to the people at your table if you don't want to. The tables are long, for 4 people on each side, but you sit at chairs, not benches (I don't think the above poster meant you sat at benches, just trying to clarify).

We sat in the upper tier and our table sat 6. We were seated with an awesome newly wed couple. Great meal, great atmosphere and the band played for a long time. I expected 10 minutes and was sooo surprised. Very family/kid friendly.

I've never eaten there, but I walked in there once and it looked like a huge celebration was going on. It looked like tons of fun, but we had already eaten. I'm dying to go!

The kids? There were a heck of a lot of adults dancing down there too!

You will be seated with four other people. However, you can interact as much or as little as you want. The only time we had a problem was when this couple was at our table (there were seven - us, a couple of women, a single guy, and then this couple). We had no idea what their problem was but they grabbed their plates, filled them up, bolted down their meal and left. Never said a word to anyone else at the table. Very uncomfortable. After they left, though, it was great. We had great conversation and were taught some German drinking songs by the single guy.

The food is fantastic..the show is excellent..overall a great experience.
One of the best values on disney property.

I really like Biergarten. I'm a picky eater and found plenty to keep me occupied on the buffet. My party also always ends up sitting with the most fascinating people. By the way, I'm usually one of the adults polka-ing while the band plays!
