Biergarten seating

I was sat alone at a table as a solo traveller last week. But the restaurant was mostly empty.
As I always say (since I go solo a lot), I'd rather be alone than to wish I was. I decided that after I sat at a communal table once where the person next to me pointedly ignored me and the restaurant was too loud for me to carry on a conversation with anyone else.

I visited today for lunch (9/14/25) and upon check in, I checked in at the desk instead of online, and I asked if we could have our own table. The CM stated they no longer seat any groups together at shared tables. I don’t know why it’s been different for some or if they just changed again, but that is what we were told today.

We ate there last week, too! So good. We (party of 2) were given our own table (a 4-top), but there were definitely people being sat around us with people they did not know (mainly on the lower 2 levels). I sure missed that place and am glad we found a time to squeeze it in :)

I imagine that any given day the process will change based on staffing. I mean it is set up for communal, so I would expect that, but depending on the day it might be private seating. OR as you experienced a combination of both.

We are a party of three. Will we likely be seated at a 4-top by ourselves? That would be my husband’s preference, for sure.

Meal time at Disney is my time to relax and cool off from the heat. I would prefer not to get involved in a dull nonsensical conversation with strangers about where I'm from, what I do, how many times have we been to Disney, have we rode Guardians of the Galaxy, etc. So agreed, I prefer my own table also. The last few times we have went, 2023 and 2024, it appears they have went away from the communal seating. They had dedicated tables for just 4 people throughout the restaurant.
Same. I am an introvert, but also a people pleaser and magnet for people telling me their sad stories. I always feel like I can't breakaway lest I hurt their feelings. So, I sit and listen at the expense of myself (and family).
I'd rather 100% avoid being seated with anyone else so this is one of the restaurants we've never tried lol I'm German and reading this thread I see there is hope of getting our own table and may try it!
