Biergarten or Hoop De Doo

We are down to our last ADR and trying to decide between the 2. I understand that the Hoop De Doo review is a little more just not sure which one the kids (ages 9 & 5) would like better.

Can't really help but we did Biergarten last trip and the children loved it (9 and 5 at the time). We did get seated with two lovely couples but it could have got difficult if seated with someone less patient at children getting up every ten minutes to return to the buffet. Booked for HDDR this time around.

Never been to Biergarten . But I don't think it can compare to HDDR. HDDR is good food and lots of fun. A must do at least once. I have been lucky to have done it pleanty of times and I'm thinking of going again since it's been a few years.

Kids will love the Hoop Dee Doo, lots of laughs and plenty of food.

Hoop de doo! I've gone every trip except the last and it's definitely a "don't-miss"... I was pretty disappointed last time.

The Hopp De Doo looks fun but talk about a big$. I cerntaly do not nickel and dime WDW but wow do they have to charge a arm and legg!!

Buffets run around $30 plus tip, plus alcohol. HDDR is around $55, including food, alcohol and tip and has a great show with it. I consider it one of the best bargains on property.

I have not seen the show so I am not going to say anything about the show,I trust your comment. But 25$ per person? I can goto a Fantasmic dinner for minus the 25 extra. True you have to get up and walk there,but still for all the money you pay you would think they would trow In the show.Yhats ok,If I seen It I probaly would say the same,thanks for your Insight

Been to both on numerous occasions. Personal opinion is that the kids will like the Hoop-Dee-Doo better than the Biergarten. I know that ours did when they were at that age.

HDDR is a show biergarden is not Food is better at Biergarden,but entertainment is better at HDDR.

We've done both & I'd definitely recommend HDD. We even preferred the food. We went on our honeymoon & my husband was pulled up on stage - fun! We went to Biergarten in 2008. It was fun, but our kids didn't really eat the food.

I'd go with Hoop Dee Doo... I've done both and really enjoyed HDDR much better. We had the front and center table and DH got pulled up on stage. It was a hoot and the characters were also very interactive with the audience. Our dinner at Biergarten was not nearly as enjoyable. The food was good, but we got stuck at a table with two couples that kept to themselves mostly and then there was the really wierd couple that didn't even speak to each other. Needless to say, it made for a very awkward dinner situation.

Consensus of opinion seems to point toward HDDR.

Having recently been to both, I have to say I enjoyed them both very much. The show at HDDR is very well done and the kids will surely love it. Food is standard BBQ... all you can eat and drink ( that includes the beer)...go very hungry to get most of the meal.

Biergarten food is excellent...most enjoyable meal my family had. They have a live musical show every hour on the hour that lasts maybe 15-20 minutes. I suggest that you log on to www.youtube.com and search Beirgarten. There are several nice full length movies of the entire show. That way you will know what to expect.

As mentioned before HDDR is more expensive. We had to use two of our table service DP's each for our visit. Biergarten is only one table service each.

The kids will like the BBQ at HDDR much better... unless they are real kraut and spatzel lovers!

Hope you enjoy your choice....I know we did....both!

I've done both with children. Both are very nice, but I would have to go with HDDR if I had to pick one.

Hoop Dee Doo!!! Lots of fun and good food. Biergarten is good too, but if you are only doing one, I'd pick the Hoop Dee Doo. Yes, it's on the pricey side. But it's not like you are going to do it every trip.

Hoop Dee Doo!!! I personally didn't care for Biergarten. Something there didn't agree with me and my stomach was messed up for the rest of the day.

Will you have a car? I believe I've read that getting to/from the HDDR can be challenging on Disney transportation.

Never been to HDDR personally. We did love Biergarten last February. I'd eat there again just for the apple strudel and vanilla sauce.

If your timing is good, you can walk outside and watch Illuminations. Let me say--I've seen Illuminations from a number of places around the Lagoon, but the view in front of Germany is the best. The globe is right there and you can feel the heat from the flames on the water.

I forgot to mention about Beirgarten. Love,Love Love the Biergarten.the food the Music and just the whole get together along with your best friends and have a great time.

wow! We love them both!! I would say Hoop Dee Doo though because it is so much fun! We really love Biergarten though and my kids were dancing to the music on the floor and had a blast! Hard choices but very good choices! Either way you can not go wrong!!

HDDR is so easy to get to and from! We had no problem with the transportation to or from at all. Well worth going!! We had such a good time at both HDDR and Biergarten it is hard to pick!
