My wife would like to go to Biergarten with our 10 year old son. I looked at the menu and to be honest, it doesn't do anything for me. I owuld go for her, and to also expand our sons horizon, but from the looks of it, the only other place that is less appealing would be "Norway" and the cold fish (sorry, I just didn't care for Norways food, but I did like the boatride!)LOL.

Any opinions on Biergarten ?

Thanks

Good food, good beer, good show, DD is a picky eater but loved the pretzel bread. We are planning to go back its a good lunch buffet.

We first tried the Biergarten 2 years ago and found that we loved it! My ds who is now 13 loves the different foods that are there and the desserts are really good. When I asked this year what the "must dos" are for our dining, this was near the top of the list for all of us.

We have always done lunch, the menu is the same at a cheaper price :thumbsup2

One thing to mention- the seating here is a bit different than what you may be use to. Depending on your party size it's probable that you will be seated with another family. Don't let this stop you though!! The first year we were seated with a family from Japan and while we didn't speak the same language, we still managed to communicate and had a wonderful time.

We love the food, there are a ton of close up buffet pictures from our March/April trip in my signature

I just tried it in May because of a friends reviews. I checked out the menu also and didn't think we would do well there BUT...it was amazing! The soup was fab and the meats and dishes were yummy. I am leaving for a second trip on saturday within 2 months and it is a must do!!! I can't wait to eat there again! Try it! YUMMMMMMMY!!!! And the show was really fun!

We were also there in May. I was a bit nervous about the menu selections as well but everything was fantastic :thumbsup2 We all loved it, even our picky eaters.

You MUST try the Bavarian cheesecake!!! :cloud9:

We love the Biergarten. They have a good selection and the atmosphere is fun too, if you don't mind sitting with another party.

One of our favorites. We do it every other visit (only becasue there are so many places we have not tried yet). Believe me, I am VERY fussy about what I eat, and I love the food and beer and entertainment.

We have an ADR for Biergarten but we were uncertain as to whether or not we should keep it. I guess were going to go ahead and give it a try. :)

Yuck! We all hated it. I know that I am not the majority but wanted to be honest. Kids didnt eat anything just the dessert. Beer was gross too. I dont see why everyone likes this place. :confused3 Just my opinion.

Same here, we had a group of people that are all foodies and we will not go back again. A lot of money for food we didn't care for, my bil paid for it and I felt bad. Now at least we know. :sad2:

I guess the only reason I ask and look for different opinions is to get different perspectives.Only our last visit to WDW, I asked about the "Illuminations" cruise and most of the people thought it was the greatest thing ever. Turned out that I think my expectations were set a "little" too high after reading 9 of 10 positive, can't miss reviews. Turned out to be the biggest waste of $$$$ in my opinion.I'm sure others loved it.
In regards to "Biergarten", I wanted to ask becasue I thought I may be too critical because the menu does nothing for me.I think I'll listen to my instinct and let my wife and son go their while I visit a pizzeria in Italy!

We love love love the Biergarten!!!!! It is a must do for us! This yr. makes yr. #9!

I am a very picky eater & don't eat red meat, but can always find things I like to eat.

I say go for it!!! You can try anything once & if you don't like it you don't have to do it again!! The desserts are yummy!!

Good Luck in you choice!!!

While I'm not exactly a picky eater, I am sensitive to different seasonings and was hesitant about eating here. DH really wanted to and I just figured I'd get some CS if I didn't like it. I was pleasantly surprised.
Here's what I enjoyed:
Some of the fruit and salad selections were what you'd find at any american buffet. The chickent spaetzel soup is very similar to chicken noodle soup. There are also great pretzel rolls and of course other normal tasting dinner rolls. One type of sausage or knotwurst or whatever its called tasted much like a hot dog. The pork (without whatever was on the platter with it) tasted like regular pork chops. There also was a section of some kid friendly foods like mac and cheese and perhaps chicken fingers - definitely some form of chicken just not sure exactly what.

I love, love Biergarten! The atmosphere, the band, the food - I love it all. We have been twice and have adrs for our Nov. trip also. It is becoming a "must-do" for us!

I tried it for the first time last week & everyone in our party loved it. The schnitzel (breaded pork chop), German potato salad, cheese spatzle (cheese noodles), and Bavarian cheese cake are awesome just by themselves! You'll like it! Plus, where else in WDW can you get a liter of beer for $10?

Biergarten is a good time with a good buffet.
I avoided it for a long time figuring the food would be "heavy". Not so.
Very good. And all their meats are GREAT.
I will be returning there next month even.

one of my family's favorite places to eat! great music, entertainment, and awesome food. its traditional enough without being crazy and hard to stomach. very yummy IMHO, i wouldnt knock it before you try it! ;)

Last Nov. I had a meet with firends there, and i took my Aunt b/c she didn't want to be alone while I went, she didn't think she would like it at all but went anyway, she ended up LOVING it and so did I. Good show, good food, good beer lol. I loved it so much, I'm taking the kids there for lunch in August:thumbsup2
