Big

from me and hubby! Went there for the first time a few weeks ago and fell in love.
But we
had to try the Biergarten this time - we've been to Germany twice now through our community band and sister city. Last year our sister city turned 1000 (yes, thousand!

) so the band went to help celebrate. Several nights of festivals - those Germans know how to throw a party!
The Biergarten very much made me feel like I was back in Germany. The band even played the toasting song we heard many times during the festival - hubby and I joined right in

I felt the food was authentic - sure they throw a couple more American style dishes in, but overall I thought it was delicious.
We sat with a very nice family (who actually knew the library where I work!). I can see the potential for having obnoxious tablemates, but we got lucky. I think the main things to remember are 1) it's German food, which will not be to everyone's taste, and 2) it's group seating. If you don't like either of these, the Biergarten might not be for you.
I have one of the many videos of the bell player online (link to
Youtube channel below - don't have a high enough post count to link in my message...)
