Our party of 8, myself, DH, DFIL, DMIL, DD11, DD8, DD6 and DD3 are considering Biergarten for Thanksgiving. We know we want to avoid the MK on Thanksgiving day, but were hoping to venture in Epcot and figured this might be a good choice. I have heard good things, but I am always skeptical of trying new things. Does anyone know if they will be serving traditional German fare, as well as some typical Thanksgiving items as well?

Also, I know they have a band and apparently they play the Chicken Dance. My girls would love that! Anyhow, opinions would be appreciated. Thanks. :)

We did it for Thanksgiving last year and were not disappointed. The kids loved the entertainment. They had both a German buffet and a Thanksgiving buffet and you could eat from both. The downside was that the park was PACKED. The busiest I've ever seen it.

Seeing as how DW is German, we do Biergarten at least once each trip to WDW.

We did T-giving there 3 yrs ago. It was just fine with us. Weiss bier, turkey and spatzle.......mmmmmmmmm......

We went last year and I specifically did not want traditional American Thanksgiving stuff. It was the same buffet which was why I picked it. Same thing as any other day.

The holiday pricing will be in affect. You can do what we did last year. We got the latest seating we could for lunch since the meal is about the same (they bring out a few additional items for dinner) and it saved us what was basically the holiday price increase. We were there during the dinner rollover so my husband was able to get one of the dinner dishes as well.

The show is done during lunch as well. I think you will have a good time. Brought a VERY picky eater here (he doesn't like anything he has to cut with a knife and fork and will not eat chicken) and he liked it. Not saying he loved it but he liked it.

Thanks for all the replies. We still aren't sure if we are going to use Thanksgiving as our one and only Epcot day, or if we are going to go earlier in the week and treat it as dinner, and what ever else we may be lucky enought to fit in. I would love to do that, but we are only there for 4 full days this time. My main concern is the park be extremely crowded and my DFIL, and DMIL may be a bit overwhelmed! WE know what to expect as we were there over X-mas last year, so crowds are no biggy to us. Oh, the options!!!!
