Has anyone been to Biergarten since they switched from being a buffet? How was it?

I just found this article which has pictures. It looks really good and I'm so glad they have the band playing! I've got it booked for my birthday dinner. https://*****.com/2020/07/photos-biergarten-restaurant-reopens-at-epcots-germany-pavilion/

Edited to add: I guess the link is blocked. Sorry all. But if you google the article name you should be able to find it.
Thank you SO much for that!!! Biergarten is a must do for us every time, and I've been wondering what food service would look like now, so this was a relief! Of course, as far as my son is concerned, that dessert plate didn't need anything but the cheesecake... :mickeybar

I saw the pics, thought it looked really good. The accompanying article stated that you can ask for additional portions of items, so the value should be intact.

But......I am a picky eater and not many of those things pictured would be on my plate.
I usually only get the sausage salad, pretzel bread. schnitzel and the berry dessert.
We will have to pass on this :(

You ordered off a menu when it opened in 1982! It was so much better, since the buffet was never great and could be very pedestrian at times. This is what I have wanted Disney to do since the 80's. :earsboy:

That's what I just said lol! I only need the cheesecake!

Thank you! Can you please share what else was included?
They actually had quite a selection—the salad selection had the salty/vinegary tomatoes, the creamy cucumbers, potato salad, macaroni salad, also the pretzel bread and a couple other salads and bread variety’s—- then a plate with the schnitzel and Mac and cheese— and a larger plate with tons of different types of sausages/ sauerkraut—roasted chicken, meatballs, buttered eggnoodles, green beans, ... I know I’m forgetting something...but will add later—- also dessert included— streudel, Cherry cheesecake, chocolate dessert, chocolate chip cookies, brownies ....

Well this is the worst of both. Not buffet and not menu based. Still that all inclusive price without the variety a buffet could offer.

Will see though we liked it last time we went.

These are most of what I usually choose! My husband loves spaetzle and the red cabbage. Were those included in the offerings?
