Biergarten and Candlelight Processional

My sister is going to WDW and has a CP dinner package with dinner at the Biergarten. We are not planning on going to the CP but were hoping to join Dsis and her family at the Biergarten for dinner. How would you handle this? We (2 of us) are planning on making an ADR for the same time as Dsis (4 in her party). Should we try to get added on to her CP ressie or just talk to the CM at Biergarten early on the day of the ressie and see if they can seat us together? I'm optimistic that, as some of their tables seat 6 and we would be a party of 2 and a party of 4, we could end up seated together anyhow, especially if they knew about this ahead of time. Opinions and recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I've got the same situation. Originally I had an ADR for 7 at the Biergarten. Found out about the CP, booked it for 3 so I honestly downsized the ADR to 4 whereby the lady said "We can't guarantee you will sit together now." So I said, then why don't I just leave it at 7 to be sure?" And she said, "Ok." Seems silly, they seat you with strangers but not your own party? I guess just make the ADR for your total size party .... Disney is kinda creating this problem by not using common sense, now they have double ressies, in effect. They didn't seem to think they could 'add the non CP to the CP res', too complicated. In all honesty, I don't think it will be a problem, probably just some stock thing they are suppossed to say.

Hmmm...spot28, I wonder if there will be a problem paying with this arrangement. Don't you prepay the CP, so part of your party will have already paid and part will still need to pay for dinner. I SUSPECT that the CM's at the Biergarten will easily handle any and all of this- it's the CM's at wdw-dine that have to "follow the rules" to get their computer system to accept ressies, etc.
