Okay, I've been posting all day as I plan my next trip. So here's a brief run down.

  • 2 adults, no kids
usually in the parks from open to close
rarely use the pools or other amenities
Love all the parks but Epcot and MK the most.
    always go to DTD
    most likely no car

so, room only: $1358 for 7 nights at the Contemporary or $578 for 7 nights at the POP - and go again in December?

Wow hard decision. I think I would choose CBR. I just prefer the location and hotel.

No question! We would choose POP!

I'd rather stay in a Deluxe, but if it meant an additional trip - it's a no-brainer.

And speaking of no-brainers: Sirius, my fellow DIS-friend, didn't your parents teach you not to discuss religion or politics in mixed company, on the DIS-boards no less? :scratchin

WOW...That's an $800 difference. If you truly don't use the resorts amenities, POP is probably the place to go. If it were me, however, I'd try to split the difference and stay at CSR.

I vote for POP. We usually stay Deluxe but we also fully utilize the ammenities at the resort. If we didn't, I definitely would be staying value or moderate. If it means going an extra time, definitely POP! :flower:

Definately pop and go again in Sept. Hubby and I are now childless, thank goodness..lol, the baby has finally moved out. We love pop, especially the added feature of an inside bar.

I'd go for POP now and then do a shorter, romantic December trip and stay at the Contemorary then.

Definately go twice and do Pop. If you are hardly ever in the room anyway, I'd say go for quantity over quality. And it's a pretty fun place anyway...

:)

Go twice, go twice-ALWAYS!

We made the decision to finally stay on site and this means Values, but I have a 9 year old, who prefers this. The 22 year old, can only afford these rooms, so it's win-win for us.

This year we can afford 4-6 trips of being there 2-4 days, due to Values. We may try to squeeze at least one different resort in there sometime though.

That's such a HUGE difference!!! I don't like the Contemporary enough to justify that big of a difference-- plus, an extra trip in December would make me go for Pop!

If I can get a second trip out of it.... can I hear a "POP"

I love a deluxe, but pop for two trips gets my vote.
Bob, how do you know the Beaver is angry? I don't know where it is. Maybe WL? :confused3

I say
c. other

Moderate with a King bed!

Since you will be using the bus, try and find out which has the best bus service (I hear CSR). POP busses were always sooooo PACKED when we were there in Sept.

I'm guessing you don't venture over to the community boards much. ;)
