Bidding on 2 rooms

I think we are going to split up our nights in a hotel. The Disney hotel that I have booked is costing an arm and a leg so I am considering doing hotwire or priceline for 3 or 4 nights (I think I have identified The Grosvenor on hotwire) to make the trip alittle cheaper.

Does anyone have experience bidding on two rooms?

What are the chances that our request for adjoining rooms will be honoured?:goodvibes

We were considering staying at the Comfort Inn, Lake Buena Vista under the special they have ($49.00/night) but one of our nights is sold out.:confused3

I've had luck on priceline with two rooms, but they weren't beside each other (but then again, since it was for my family and the in-laws, i didn't mind a little separation, that and we get Non-smoking rooms, they get smoking rooms).

I've done 2 rooms twice in the WDW area via priceline.
Once was at the Sheraton Safari, we didn't even get rooms in the same building. We were actually about as far apart as you can get at that resort. They were very apologetic, but it was a busy time of year and this was as good as it got.

The other was at the Nikki Bird (which is something else now), and they gave us 2 rooms right next to each other, but they didn't connect. (they didn't even have the option).

Remember w/ priceline, if you bid on 2 rooms, they do not have to give you connecting rooms or even rooms near each other. So, it's always a chance.

People on these boards often refer to that hotel as the "Gross"venor due to it's lack of housekeeping, just so you know.

Our suggestion would be to upgrade to a plush pool home / villa offsite, for what you're going to spend between getting 2 rooms offsite, an onsite stay, etc, you could be staying in a 4/5/6 bedroom pool home that beats them all, for LESS $$!!

Just a thought... after all... you can get better, but you can't spend more is our "onsite" motto! LOL

Plus, moving around isn't going to be all that great, then what if you're at opposite ends of the world?
