Bid for upgrade on VA

Anybody done the bid for an upgrade on virgin atlantic? If so did you win? I noticed it on my booking but didnt have a clue how much to bid!

We made a low bid of around £100 for an outbound flight earlier this year and never won, I think we set a price a little above the minimum, which might have been around £80.

It was a trial for those passengers who booked directly with Virgin Atlantic on VS15/16 to and from Orlando and VS45/46 to and from New York JFK but not heard of anyone who had won a bid so far.

Thanks for that. Yes I did book direct on the vs15 and bid the same as you. Wont hold my breath! More money in DTD anyway...I might as well sleep in the world of disney lol.

Not heard much about it recently, I know the ones I heard had won their bids were complaining because they were expecting the bid to be final but there were some taxes or fees ontop they were not expecting.

Yes I saw the taxes and fees. I think since the complaints they have made it clearer! Thanks for your post.
