Bibleman?????

While watching "Where Are They Now" last night on VH1, I see that Willie Ames is now Bibleman?

Never heard of it until lastnight!

Okay, I think the idea of a Christian superhero is pretty cool, but don't you think they could have come up with a less-cheesy name than *Bible*man??

It's been around awhile. Took my kids a year or two ago to see a live action preformance of this. They loved it and the place was "packed". I also think it was free, sponsored by Churches. Neat to hear Willie Ames testimony and how he came into this role.

LOL Rajah, I have to agree, bibleman does sound like such a cheesey name! I took three of my nephew to one of the live action shows too a couple of years ago. It was packed out. We waited in line for a couple of hours to have the boys pic taken with bibleman. Of course this was a very interesting line, there were a gazillion little boys with bibleman masks and capes on fighting each other with bibleman swords. It was a job just to make sure no one got hurt. Ugghh, kinda hope bibleman doesn't make another tour this way, if he does I know I'll have to go and this time I'll have five boys and one girl since they are all devoted fans.

My 6 yo DS loves Bibleman! We have a few of the videos, and he used to have the mask & sword of the spirit!

Bibleman's name is supposed to be cheesy, LOL, it's part of the charm. Many things about the show are a tongue-in-cheek, like the hero's name. My kids love him!

Willie Aames had a hard time with drugs for a while so it is nice to see he has come around. I've seen lots of Bibleman merchandise at the local Christian bookstore. I think I would go see him just to see HIM! His picture was in my locker in 9th grade!
