Bibbiti Bobbiti - Our Boo gets a MAW Trip to meet the Princesses Feb 1-7

We took my 3 year old to WDW this summer and her favorite thing was Playhouse Disney live on Stage! We actually saw in twice in one day.

If you have any questions about a 3 year old at Disney, just let me know.

Thanks so much. I am pretty sure it will be a big hit with my kids too. They love Playhouse Disney Shows on TV

Your plans sounds great...I'm glad you can extend your stay. I wish we could but it's hard enough to get the hubby away from the farm! I hope that everything you plan goes better than planned and I look forward to reading more!

Well I don't have a farm to get my husband away from but we were a bit worried about him asking for the time off. Luckily he has a really nice boss who was all for it!

I know there doesn't seem to be a lot of Dis-sers here...yes we've been getting lots of rain too!

Something you should add if you have time while in AK is seeing the Nemo show, its really great! The rest of your days in WDW look good, just take your time, your not going to see everything, we are going for my DD 5 trip and we have yet to get through all of AK! take breaks in the park, our fav thing to do is find a bench, get a snack and people watch!!

Looking forward to hearing more about your plans!

Thanks for the Nemo Show suggestion...I would love it if we have time. I love to people watch too so hopefully we can relax on some benches, do some snacking and take it all in.

Joining in, love the title!! SO glad that your princess is now healthy! We are also semi west coasters-our flight is just under 5 hours from Az. Ur kiddos may actually sleep on the plane. My 4 DD does each time and half the time my 6 yr old does. Exciting that you get to extend thanks to your Mom and Dad-AKL is our DVC "home". Can't wait to read about the rest of your plans.

Thanks so much for joining in and a huge THANKS for letting me know I might have hope for the kids sleeping. It would be so awesome...I specifically planned to fly from Portland to Atlanta so we would have a long plane ride for them to try and sleep. We will see...

Your plans sound great to me. We are also on the West Coast and the last time we went our plane landed just about 5pm and we made it to the 7:45 orientation. You just might make it. As far as rollor coaster...remember...you get front of line pass, so the kids won't be waiting to long. Universal and Island of Adventure is the best when it comes to this. They take you by hand and get you on the next ride. You can even chose where you want to sit. You guys need to enjoy the trip too. Just think what you went through.

Like mommy2mrb said.. The Nemo show was really cute. We ate here http://www.seaworld.com/sitepage.aspx?PageID=553 when we went to Sea World. It was pretty good. They even gave samples of beer. I know City Walk has some yummy restaurants at Universal. Just don't remember where we ate.

Thanks for the info...I had not thought at all about Universal City Walk. I think we may check it out for dinner or late lunch one day. I also had not thought about using the front of the line pass to get on the roller coasters...maybe we will try a few:yay:

Your plans look very realistic.::yes:: I will be back later to be a little more specific and to add my 2 cents! LOL:goodvibes

Loved all your 2 cents worth:lmao: Thanks so much for all the info. I also loved your info you posted on the Wish Trippers page. I would have never realized it would take about 45 min to get from parking to Magic Kingdom...we could have been running late to get BBB on time:scared1:

Not sure about Fantasmic...might get left on the list for our next visit:)

Hello,

Just caught up on your PTR, love your story. Your children are adorable and too cute. It seems as though you have things so well planned, sure it may change a few times but at least you know where to go for suggestions ;). Looking forward to hearing more about your upcoming trip and all your day to day life. Would love lots of holidays pics :)

Thanks so much for visiting and the nice compliments. My hope is to have a bit of a plan but also time to relax and take things as they come. The DIS is such a great place for trip planning help! I will try and get a few holiday pics up in the next few weeks!

Your itinerary sounds great! Being able to extend gives you such a wonderful opportunity to not stress too much about getting everything done and seeing it all the first time. :goodvibes

Thanks so much. We are so glad we have the chance to stay a few extra days. It really does give us a chance to not stress too much and take it easy.

Just joining in. Your family is adorable

Awwww...Thanks so much. Glad you are joining in!

Awwww. Your kids are too cute. I'm so glad Chelsea got her wish. Looks like you guys are going to have a ton of fun. I can't wait to read more.

Your kids are adorable! My son had cancer as well, a Wilm's tumor. Elliot's best buddy during his hospital stay had AML as well. Sadly, she lost her battle in July. Sounds like you have a wonderful plan in place for your trip, can't wait to read more.

Thanks so much...I am really glad Chelsea got to make a wish too. Most of the time when I think about it I get teary eyed. It is pretty amazing to know she is going to live a bit of a fairytale.:)

Thanks so much! Sorry to hear about his best buddy in the hospital losing her battle with AML...like all childhood cancers it is a very aggressive nasty beast. We feel very fortunate to still have Chelsea with us. When we finished treatment we were told we got a 50% chance of it coming back. Everyday I am so thankful she is doing well. I look forward to following your families plans as well!

So it turns out I have been keeping a bit of a really fun but hard to keep secret...the awesome people who put together the Big Give have chosen our family to participate!!!! I was so surprised and grateful when Wendy sent me the nicest message letting me know. The kids have had a blast measuring away to help me let the Big Give Angels know their measurements. They played with the measure tapes for weeks after!

So that brings us to yesterday when I head out to my mailbox and in it was a card for Chelsea with a cute mouse ears on it. At first I was like who is this from and then I thought to myself...I bet this might be pixie dust from the big give. We had just gotten home from seeing Santa so that explains the kids all dressed up in the pictures...we are normally a bit more casual then this. :)It was from Mommy2mrb and we can't thank you enough!!!

DSC04857.jpg

I had kind of opened the envelope for her so she would not rip everything in the envelope trying to get in.:)

DSC04859.jpg

Then she "read the card"...It has a beautiful sticker of Princess Aurora in it and Chelsea kept telling me it was a beautiful Princess Card (which it totally is!)

DSC04860.jpg

In the card she found a Princess Gift Card...It was love at first sight! She was so excited to have a card with all "her" princesses on it. princess:

DSC04863.jpg

She and her brother Fuller had do roll around on the floor laughing with excitement. He kept looking at the card and telling her the princesses were beautiful just like her...sweet brother and sister moment!

DSC04868.jpg

Just a funny little story about Chelsea's understanding of Gift Cards I have to share. I was not sure if she really knew what a gift card was so I explained to her that while she was at Disney World she could use it to pick out a something to bring home with us. All of a sudden she looked really sad and I was really confused...I mean who does not want to bring something home from Disney right!?! So she says to me "But I don't want them to take my card!" She was concerned if she bought something they would take away her princess card. Awwwwww, it was so sweet. She had a HUGE grin on her face when after I explained how it works to her she understood she could buy something and keep her princess card.

Thanks Mommy2mrb for your families amazing thoughtfulness. We appreciate it so much and I will be sure to let you all know how the shopping goes...Will she or won't she part with the card long enough to purchase something?

Thank you to all who participate in the Big Give for including out family. We appreciate it so much. You are an amazing group of people with lovely hearts!

Awwww - that is just adorable!!!! I cant wait to see what she decides to get with it? Its so fun to see things through a little child's eyes!!!

Thanks for letting us share the special moment!!!:goodvibes

You are so welcome!!! thank you for all the cute photos, my DD always keeps her GC too, so tell Chelsea that she will be able to get it right back after she does her shopping!!!
Hope it helps make your trip a bit more magical, we are so happy to be a part of your Big Give!
Have a wonderful Christmas and look forward to hearing all about your trip!

Cute pics!! That is too funny about the gift card. Just like boxes are sometimes the best part of a present! :rotfl2:

Congratulations on being selected for the BIG Give!!!!

I'm sure you guys are in for some great surprises!

Cute pic of Fuller and Chelsea! What a kind big brother!

Our door bell does not ring too often unless it is an expected guest so the kids were pretty excited yesterday afternoon when they heard a knock at the door. There stood our awesome mailman with our regular mail as well as a box. Jumping around the house and squealing ensued when we told them it was a box for our family and we could open the box so here we go. Thank you Kelly from A Crystal Garden...sorry I don't have your Dis name.

Fuller and Chelsea with the very exciting package! I cut open the box before they opened it so they could get into it:)

DSC04875.jpg

Pulling the Tissue paper out of the box to find the treasures.

DSC04877.jpg

What beautiful treasures they are...The prettiest Cinderella clip and and an adorable Mickey clip.

DSC04878.jpg

The kids being silly with the clips. It was about this time that Chelsea proclaimed "It's like Christmas or something!" She is totally right these last few days have brought the lovely blessing of such thoughtful gifts to our home.

DSC04881.jpg

I quick took a picture of the clips with Chelsea bouncing around me asking to put the clips in her hair. They are just so beautiful!!!!

DSC04893.jpg

One more quick shot of her holding both of them because I knew once they were in her hair all bets were off!:)

DSC04892.jpg

First we put the Mickey clip in...How cute it is! I had to go grab the little mirror to show it to her. She loved it!!!!

DSC04886.jpg

Then we tried on the Cinderella clip. And it did not leave her hair again ALL day...it is so pretty! I think it is not much of a coincidence that Cinderella beat out all holiday movies for last night's movie night as a choice by both of the kids.:rotfl:

DSC04884.jpg

Thank you so much Kelly from A Crystal Garden and I hope you have a great time on your upcoming trip! The hair bows are so beautiful and it was beyond kind of you to send them to Chelsea to wear on her wish trip. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Awww- she looks ADORABLE with them in!! :goodvibes

Is Fuller an Eagles Fan? He must have been beside himself this afternoon!!!!:cool1:

such pretty bows for your pretty princess!

Thanks for letting us share the special moment!!!:goodvibes

It is so funny to see things through their eyes...really one of the many joys of being around kids. It will be interesting to see what she thinks she wants to get. I still think it will be interesting to see if she will give up the card just for a minute to pay or not.

Thanks again for all you have done to make this Pixie Dust happen for our family. The Big Give is so awesome!!!

You are so welcome!!! thank you for all the cute photos, my DD always keeps her GC too, so tell Chelsea that she will be able to get it right back after she does her shopping!!!

Thank you again for your kindness. I put the card in a safe place until the trip but Chelsea keeps having me get it out so she can just "hold it please mama." I let her know your daughter likes to keep the cards after her shopping and I think it made her feel better. I am not totally sure she trusts she will get the card back if she ever gives it up!:) Thanks again and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Cute pics!! That is too funny about the gift card. Just like boxes are sometimes the best part of a present! :rotfl2:

Thanks! It is true that especially at this age the packaging can be just as wonderful as the gift!

Congratulations on being selected for the BIG Give!!!!

I'm sure you guys are in for some great surprises!

Cute pic of Fuller and Chelsea! What a kind big brother!

We are so thankful they choose our family and really appreciate everything. It is so lovely! Fuller was extra king that night...might have had something to do with the hours before visit with Santa.;) Really most of the time he is so great with his sister and for that I am so grateful.

Awww- she looks ADORABLE with them in!! :goodvibes

Is Fuller an Eagles Fan? He must have been beside himself this afternoon!!!!:cool1:

The bows are so beautiful. She has worn them everyday now since they arrived!

Fuller is an Eagles fan...my husband has been one since he was about 8 years old and decided to be one. I have tried to make him a Packers fan like me and my dad (he grew up in Wisconsin and went to games with his dad as a kid) but somehow he seems to follow his Papa on this one but he did cheer on my Packers last night! The last quarter of the Eagles game yesterday was amazing!!! My husband nearly had a heart attack...it also adds to the fun that his best friend is a HUGE Giants fan so there will be some gloating to do!:cool1:

such pretty bows for your pretty princess!

Thanks...I love that she gets to feel like a princess!

want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, hope its filled with family, friends, love and happiness!

What's a GAC? Sounds like maybe a blessed privilege at WDW for MAW kids??
GAC stands for Guest Assistance Card and it is a card that gives CMs a little bit of information about the services/accommodations that a guest with a disability needs.
There is more information about GACs in post #6 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread. Click on the link in my signature and then scroll down to post 6.
GACs for most guests are not meant to shorten the wait in line, but guests on MAW trips do often get shorter waits with their special MAW GAC.

Yeah for SueM for the answer. We have not yet been on our trip but the MAW GAC does sound like one of the many blessings of this trip.

Thanks for helping me answer the question...since we have not yet been on our trip I am not sure exactly how it works so I appreciate your help! :thumbsup2

Happy New Year to all. We had a busy break full of family time, playing with new toys Santa brought and snuggling on the sofa for some Disney movie nights and I hope that many of you reading this did as well. I was kind of sad to see the kids return to school today but they were so happy it was a school day so all was good. They coordinated their outfits for their first day back...Muppets it was! :)

So I have to let you all know that historically January is not an easy Month...Our L day (Leukemia Diagnosis Day) is Jan 10 and things seem to get stressful for me around this time...darn anxiety! Over the holidays/month of December Chelsea had Pneumonia (very mild case), got really sick from the medicine that was prescribed, a cold immediately following it, was extra tired and well it was all I could handle as I told the pediatrician and her oncologist..."I am at stress level 100 +!!!" You see when Chelsea was diagnosed it was after months of "regular" kid sicknesses that seemed to come one after the other...one illness I can handle multiple things coming up---NOPE...I get too nervous of a leukemia relapse. She is now feeling better and is running around at 100% full of spunk and life...Yeah!!!

So this was a very long way of telling you that today's arrival of an envelope today from the amazing Laxton Family reminded me that this January will be replacing those hard diagnosis memories and anxiety with the joy of planning a trip of a lifetime for BOTH of my kids, my husband and myself and the amazing blessing of the Big Give!

The kids were so excited to open the envelope. They were hardly able to sit still enough to let me take this picture with the envelope.

DSC05054.jpg

Then they tore in...as much as you can when mama already made sure the envelope could be opened without total destruction of the contents!

DSC05055.jpg

DSC05056.jpg

Here they are saying "Thank You" which would have been cuter on video but you get the idea. Chelsea is saying "YOUUUUUUUUUU" specifically!

DSC05058.jpg

Here's Chelsea with the the card and nice note that came with it.

DSC05068.jpg

Obviously she is getting the idea about the magic of gift cards because after all the "posed" pictures started the kissing of the gift card. This went on for quite awhile and she would run away then run back for more kisses!:lovestruc

Thank you Laxton family for the VERY GENOROUS gift card and for helping make this January different, better and just simply amazing!:goodvibes
