Hi there, I was just wondering for thoes who have gon to BBB what package did you choose and were you happy with your choice? I want to get some feedback (likes/dislikes) before I make a final decision and also how far in advance can you make a reservation? Thanks!

We got the middle package, and liked it well enough to do it again on our second trip! :)

I liked that DD got the whole "salon" experience, including nails. We didn't buy a costume there because we had brought our own both times, but if you plan to you can do that with the middle package too and then you don't have to get everything (wand, shoes, etc.) if you don't need it all. Also, remember that you can get a 10% discount on all of it with a Disney Visa or if you booked through AAA.

With any of the packages you can go over to the special photopass place and get additional Photopass shots taken, so I don't see the value of the photo package in the more expensive package. Yeah, they're paid for in the price, but I'd rather put tons on my Photopass card and buy the CD - and get all of our other vacation photos on it, too. In our experience, the cutest photos are the ones they take at BBB - getting done up, looking in the mirror at the transformation, and so on.

Honestly, it's a really fun experience and I don't think you can go wrong with any of the packages! It just depends on which options you want. :thumbsup2

Hi!

I took both of my daughters to BBB in June. They had the castle package and had a great time. Their dresses, tiaras, wands, and shoes were part of the package. They had their hair, make-up and nails done. They also had a photo session.

It was a great experience for my girls. They loved all the attention they got when they were walking through Downtown Disney in their dresses and makeup.

Whatever package you decide on, I'm sure that it will be a great experience. My girls still talk about it.

I think that you can make a reservation 180 days in advance.

Here are some pictures from our trip.

WOW!! Thank you both for all the info it's very helpful and Nataliz thanks for sharing the pictures. I know my girls will love it.

We got the middle package for my girls..if i were to do it again i would just do the first one with the hair and makeup. They really did have a lot of fun, but the nails are just not worth the extra $10 or whatever it is. The nails fall off so easily....but it is a fun thing to do. We actually went on our last day..we had a late flight out..so the girls got all done up and got to go home that way, and everyone on the plane was calling them princess, they loved it!

I agree. We also got the middle package. It really wasn't worth the extra for the nails. As for the $35 for the hair.... I will absolutely do it again. My girls had a wonderful time, and they loved the photo session after. We went to the Hoop de doo later that day...they were definately the center of attention!
I made our appointments about 2 months in advance, and I made sure we had the first ones of the day(I heard they can get backed up sometimes.)

We just did the BBB last week for 6 year old DD. We did the $45 package with hair and nails. I'd have to agree with a few of the posts above - the extra $10 for the nails not worth it but the rest great! We'd do it again and just do the $35 for the hair. Great fun and the girls looked so cute after!
Have fun!

WE just did BBB package with the nails (they just painted them) for DD6 on Nov. 23. It was very cute and fun. I have to say I did feel pretty silly paying almost $50 at 1pm and she pulled everything out of her hair by 7pm. She did the diva style that included the hair extentions. She acted the part of a diva for a while and then decided to go back to her tomboy ways. If you go go early so she at least keeps her "do" up all day.

The nails are the press on kind, but they can also be painted....after my dd's nails fell off for the 3rd time while sitting there they took them off and painted them.

Are the nails typically painted or some kind of press ons?

When we were there, my DD got to choose. She picked painted and then they gave her the press on nails and the bottle of nail polish in her goodie bag to take home.

Did you feel like it was worth it to do the Castle Package?

Just booked our very first Disney vacation and now am researching all the exciting things we can do. DD is 8 and would love to go to BBB. Only concern is she is a little on the heavier side and always have a hard time finding outfits that would fit her. Just wondering if they have bigger size outfits?

I did, but I was already planning to buy them new princess outfits while we were down there. They did a great job presenting the dresses to the girls. They came zipped up in wardrobe bags and were 'presented' to them by their fairy godmothers.

If you are planning on buying outfits while you're down there, it is totally worth it. My girls used these as their Halloween costumes this year also- so they got double duty.

They both loved the experience. They had so much fun getting their hair, makeup and nails done. My older daughter got the press on nails and the younger one had hers painted. The press on nails fell off quickly, but my daughter was happy with them for the time they lasted.

In all honesty, my daughters would have been just as happy getting their hair and makeup done- without the costumes. The costumes were just an extra that they really enjoyed.

Whatever you choose to do, it will be a great experience. I hope that I helped.

What is the age "restricitions" for the BBB? We're going in April and one of my DD's will be almost 3 and one the other one will be 13. Obviously DD13 won't do the whole costume thing, but she might enjoy getting her hair done. What do you all think? TIA!!

I think World of Disney has costumes up to size 10/12, same as the Disney Store. I haven't seen any size larger than that.

My daughter is 4 but looks 5 and wears anywhere from a 7-10. I brought a costume from home, but when we got there, they had costumes that looked like they would definitely fit her.

We did this in August and DD loved it!! We will be doing it again in February when we go.

We did the middle package as well. IMO, the $10 for the nails were not worth it. She picked the press ons and as soon as we were done with the photo shoot she wanted them off.

When we go back, she does want the nails done again, but this time painted. We'll see... ;)

Don't miss the photo shoot after!!! We loved it, and had pictures taken with her too!

We had our appt at 8:40 a.m. She was still all "dolled" up for our 8:40 PM Le Cellier reservation that night. She LOVED it, along with all the attention it brought her!!

What ever package you decide, your DD will LOVE it. Last June, DD5 (atthe time) did the middle package - I bought her Cinderella with us, so we just did the middle package. Then after that we went on to the GF for dinner w/ Cindy. My daughter thought the whole experience was magical (so did I). Money well spent. Every day my DD made me put her hair extension ponytail in her hair, it was hysterical, the fake hair was the exact same color as her real hair.
