We are trying to get a fairly accurate idea of how much spending money we will need for our next trip, we would like to do BBB with our 2 girls. We don't need more dresses but I am leaning towards the Castle Package because I hated waiting in line to visit princesses and the photos with Cinderella's Carriage. I was hoping someone could tell me if you can get pictures with the carriage without buying the castle package. As I said we don't really need the big package but the photos would be a really nice keepsake.

I would call to check but not too long ago there was a similar question and one of the posters said she had purchased a 'photo shoot' with the carriage in a addition to a lesser package which made it cheaper overall (you could try searching the threads based on topic). But you wouldn't get the priority escort to meet the Princesses after. If you look here https://disneyland.disney.go.com/shops/disneyland/bibbidi-bobbidi-boutique/ and scroll down a bit it does mention a 'Capture the Moment' Disney Photopass Service for an additional fee - it's unclear to me though if that's capture the moment of the makeover itself or if that gets you access to the room with the carriage. Not sure I helped all that much - we did the Castle Package as it was a once in a lifetime for my daughter we are from Australia and she was 10 - we needed the dress and the whole thing anyway! lol

When we went in jan, I was a bit taken aback because the experience is so much different than WDW, I know don't compare. I never knew this but even thou DL is our home park, we had never done it here before. Anyway I took my niece for her first time to DL and got her the done. I assumed like WDW that there would be someone to take pictures of her getting done, nope, even with the photopass+ no one to take pictures of her getting done. After we were asked if we wanted the pictures, but it was like $40 or more, so I said no, I got them all on my phone and we took lots when we went for photo shots around the park, but since we could not get any of it being done who cares. Also, when we went to see the princesses, I went as the frozen theatre started, we only waited like 10 minutes for brave outside, and maybe another 10 minutes for all the others. I thought that was pretty good, since we did all 4 in less than 20 minutes. Just hit it when the theatre thing starts.

We have quite a few dresses we were planning to bring so the extra cost for the dress and accessories isn't really necessary, the escort to the princesses would be an added bonus but also not necessary. The photos with the coach is what I'd really like but I'm not willing to pay more than $100 each for that option but would pay a little more.

It was like $40 for the photo with the carriage. They might only charge you one to do the two girls together but I'm not sure, I would call and ask them.
