So I'd been sort of kind of really wanting to take my daughter there since I first heard about it while planning our trip. But I fully expected my fiance to think the idea was ridiculous and too much money (Well...he wouldn't be wrong on that second point).

But today I was casually telling him about it. And immediately he was like "Riley NEEDS to do that."

Gosh, I knew I liked this guy. :lovestruc

Anyway, I called, and we have an appointment set up for the first day of our trip! Sooo excited. Still not even sure on which package to get.
With the Crown package, we could just bring a (much cheaper) princess dress for her to change into. I'm waiting for another sale on the Disney store website
But the Courtyard package with the tutu is super cute too, and not totally out of our price range.
I highly doubt I'd be able to convince myself to do the Castle package. Are the dresses better made or something? It's just so much more expensive!

Anyway, I can't wait.
:jumping1:

Yay! BBB is a fantastic experience! The dresses are on par with the deluxe dresses at the Disney store. We bought several on our last trip. I think they were around $70 or so by themselves, a year ago, but I could be mistaken. The package also includes accessories. We didn't do that.

We did BBB for our daughter's 5th birthday - definitely would do it again in a heartbeat! Such a great Disney memory for her and for us.

We brought a few dresses from home that she could choose from and she changed into one when we got to BBB. We did the courtyard package. The tutu and tee shirt that comes with it are really cute and she's gotten a lot of use out of them since she's worn them a bunch of times since.

Have fun!

BBB was a great experience for our DD7 last year. We did the Crown package for her, and brought her own dress.

We told her if she got straight A's in school this year we would schedule her the Castle package (I was going to schedule it anyways). For anywhere from $60 and up, I feel it's a fun experience for them. Especially since they can walk around the park today and be a princess. Well worth the price!

I did this for my DD for her 8th birthday back in 2013 and yes we too did the Crown Package. She was princess Jasmine and we had bought her outfit from the Disney Store while on sale (I think I only paid a lil over 40) and I also brought princess Jasmine flip flops that went along perfectly with the outfit. She wore her outfit to MK and so when her BBB time came around she was already dressed. Because we had the Photopass Plus (now called Memory Maker) she also got to go across from the BBB and have a photo shoot at no additional cost to me. It was AWESOME!!! She felt like a princess for sure. They were great and the photographer got some very good shots to help make her day even more magical.

She'll be 10 when our trip this year rolls around and I asked if she wanted to do it again and while she is still very much a princess (still dresses up in costumes and all) she mentioned that she didn't want to do it this year so I'm even more happy the pics came out so good. I'm secretly hoping she'll change her mind.

Oh this is cool! This is the packages we will probably get now!!!

Were going to book the BBB or our DD7, Cant wait for this, I like the idea of buying the dress and bringing it!!!! thanks for the ideas!!

We are doing BBB for my daughter who is 3 for our upcoming trip in June. I was wondering if she will get to meet Cinderella right after and take pictures with her. Or is it only available if you have purchased the memory maker or a special BBB package.
thanks so much for your input

Enjoy it everyone!!! Before you know all they want to do is the DIVA package and then they are too old!!:( They cut them off at 12!!! I love those pictures and the time we spent , then of course lunch at the Castle right after which was so precious!!pixiedust:

Do you have to pay for this upfront when calling to make a reservation? My friend is taking her daughters for their first trip in November, and she is going to call at the 180 day mark. I hope she gets the early morning reservatin she wants. Does this book up fast?

No you just have to give your credit card number to secure the appointment. I called less than 180 days and I got it early, I even had to push it back a little as it was too early!!!

Thats great to know! They want to do Crystal Palace breakfast right after their appointment so she really wants the early appointments. Wasn't sure if this was similar to dining ADR's hahaha!!! Oh and one more thing, is it 180 days from the day you check-in or 180 days from the day you want the appointment? Thanks!

I believe the 180days don't really apply of course the earlier you make it the better chance you have to get the day and time you want. The only thing I saw you must have to book is a park ticket. Hope it helps

The 180 days is the same as when you would make your ADRs if you are staying at a Disney resort, but you have to call the reservation number for- can't make online ressies for BBB. You should do it the same morning you make your ADRs if you are going during a busy time of year because they will fill up. There are two BBB locations- one in the castle in MK and one in DD. Try for an early morning ressie so she can be a princess all day!
