Has anyone ever done BBB? Did you tip? I started another thread about this, but it has been mostly ignored. I don't know what the appropriate thing to do is. It will cost over $800 for us as we have 4 girls. I don't think even a 10% tip is appropriate on that large of a bill, but I'm clueless. What is typical?

I'm am leaning towards not tipping. They are making a lot of money from us as it is. I just don't know if the CM's get much of that money. Hmmm....what to do????

Yes, I tipped. the fairy godmothers did an incredible job making my daughter feel special. I know it's something she'll never forget :) so to me, I felt it important to tip.

I only had one child and tipped $8. My total was $50 and some change. I got the package with the nails but they ran out of nail polish but let dd pick out a Mickey bracelet and gave me 10 % off for the inconvenience.

I'm not sure what is typical this was our first trip :)

I'm sure that I tipped, but I don't remember how much exactly.

We did the middle range package at BBB, and I don't remember any of the numbers.

If you are spending $200 per child, you must be getting the princess dresses, in addition to the hair and makeup, I would think.

I generally only tip based on "services provided" at a salon, not product.

So if I get a pedicure plus three nail polishes, I usually take most of the cost of the nail polish out of the tip calculation.

Yes, we're getting the Castle Package for each of the girls before going to Cinderella's Royal Table. I should say the girls are getting their own packages. We are giving them each $50 for an early Christmas present, and they are earning the rest. They help me run my business, and I pay them as employees based on how hard they work! They are homeschooled, and it's great seeing them make their own money and learn how to save for something worthwhile! Anyway, thanx for the "tips"! I would never have known what I should do!

We are going for our first time in March and I've actually never seen anything said about tipping. And I understand on the not getting responses to questions because I have had the same experience. A bit frustrating.

Our girls are getting the same package, it is actually their Christmas present from this past Christmas, and their Birthday presents for next year. Our 3 year old didn't really know that we didn't get her a present, and the 7 year old was the one that decided to skip a present so she could do this. For their birthday, we will frame a picture of them to remind them what they got for their present.

That's awesome! Good for you! That's a great idea about the pictures. I may do it too! Thanks for the idea! As for getting ignored, is there anything I can help you with? I have only been there once, but have done TONS of research! I may be able to lend ya a hand! Let me know!

has gone once and my wife tipped. Tips must be in cash.

In my opinion, and this discussion couldn't happen on the restaurant board where tipping threads are limited, it doesn't seem that tipping for the dress and shoes would be necessary. At CRT where the tip is prepaid (or included in the DDP) the value of the picturre package is subtracted before calculating the tip.

Thank you for that pointer! I wouldn't have thought to take those costs out before calculating the tip. That should be pretty easy then. It's similar to going to the salon for myself. I know on the BBB page of the WDW website I found the prices of the individual packages, so I should be able to calculate it that way then. Awesome! Thanx!

Did you get to keep the dresses and accessories that came with the Castle Package? Thanks.
