Just wondering, if we take our little girl in to get the works (including the photopass portraits at the end).....how long should we plan for this to take. The plan was to do this at opening & then have breakfast at Ariel's Grotto. Obviously having them scheduled too close together would be a problem. Any insight & help would be greatly appreciated!!!

IF YOU HAVE ANY PICS OF YOUR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE SHARE!!!

The week before last we had the hair/makeup/nails package only. It took around 30 minutes from start to finish. DD7 was allowed to pick her own hairdo, but the Fairy God Mother in Training showed the Queen (ie me, hehehe) to ensure it would meet royal standards.

DD's Nan made the frock.

Here are a few pics....

I would tell you to allow 1.5 hours. They say 1 hr but I think it took us close to 1.5 hours. They were a little slow getting her started and she knew right away which princess she wanted to be. Then there was a short wait for the photo session. Make sure to walk around the edge of the castle for a cute photo opportunity. The Fairy Godmother was there when we walked by.

Ok, I just looked at my photos and we took a photo of her standing by the Belle outfit she picked out at 3:43 (she had a 3:30 appt I think) then our final picture outside the castle was at 5:05. So that would mean it took us 1 hr and 35 min from start to finish.

Our hair and nails appt took about 40 minutes, but we had a 45 minute wait as they were (very) behind that day.

Thank you everyone....I think we'll try to plan 2 hrs & that way we should be safe!! I love :lovestruc love  love the pics!!! All the girls looked so beautiful!!!! Thanx for sharing them!!!

It might be better to do lunch instead of bfast at AG. Keep in mind you have to get from FL in DL to the pier area in DCA for AG. You will want to give yourself some time to get from point A to point B in addition to getting your makeover done. When my girls and I did it we did hair and makeup only (yes, I had a makeover because it was my bday) and then we did photos after, it took us about an hour from start to finish.

If you take your own dress....do you just wear it in?? or is getting dressed there part of the experience. (I won't pay the over-inflated prices for a dress there....we have all the princess dresses at home already)
