Hi! For all of you who have little girls who have done the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, do you think it's worth paying for the Castle Package (with the outfits and photos) instead of just the regular Crown Package (nails, hair, makeup)? It looks like it's at least $130 difference for the outfit w/accessories and photo package. On the Disney website, it looks like I can buy the outfits for about $50. Are there different outfits at the Boutique to choose from than I can find on the website? Are they nicer at the Boutique (thus justifying the higher expense)? Are the pictures super nice (again thus justifying the higher expense)? Also, did you do the Dowtown Disney or Cinderella's Castle Boutique? Is one nicer than the other? Thanks for all your help!

My friends did the Castle package and were very disappointed, they said they were just disney store quality, nothing better. So we bought ours on ebay, gently used, nearly perfect for about $15. Kids used them for Halloween also, so it was a great deal.

We did the Castle package the first time, a smaller package the 2nd time. IMO, since DD needed a new princess dress (doesn't every little girl need one?) it was worth it for us -- the Fairy godmother puts the whole outfit in a dressing room and presents it to the girl with a big ta-da. The only other thing I could compare it to is wedding dress shopping -- my DD audibly gasped and had a few tears. For that moment alone, I would say it was worth it. And yes, the pictures were fabulous, but IMO the photopass pictures taken during the make-over (and everybody can get those) were also great -- the photographers snap a picture just as the girl gets to see themselves in the mirror for the 1st time. We went to the castle both times, and from there to CP for supper. We did the photo shoot a bit later in the day.

they are the same dresses sold at the stores and the Disney store, with shoes, tiara etc. Yes, it's expensive but I think the Castle package is worth doing once, especially if you don't tell them too much about it in advance ie. you're going to get a princess make-over is enough. Once the element of surprise is gone, I would go with a smaller package. (But in either case, IMO, skip the fake nails -- nail polish would be so much better because both times DD's nails were constantly falling off when she was doing the rides)

imho, it's not worth the price difference. The shoes are not comfortable for wearing around all day, and the wand thing is a pain to lug around. We brought a princess dress from home that DD had never seen and tinkerbell "delivered" it the night before when we got back to the room. So she had the surpirse moment, without the pricetag. Also, you can still get the photo session done even with the other packages and you just add the pics to your photopass cd.

Hi
We also did the castle package last year and the crown this year. I thought the Sleeping Beauty dress last year was a much better quality than the Disney Store. That being said the shoes(very expensive) and extra crown and wand start to add up and can be brought from home. This year we will bring her costume and do the crown package. I will say the costume in the dressing room brought a tear to my eyes when she saw the whole costume laid out. If you can afford it go for it for the first time. Have a great time.

The dresses you get at BBB are different than those that you get at the Disney Store. I purchased the BBB dresses off Ebay from a seller that sells them and paid a lot less than at Disney World. You can have them lay the dress out in the dressing room even if you bring them yourself and they can change into it. Also, you can have the photo package done with the Crown package...you don't have to get the Castle package done. So, to me the only difference between the two packages is the purchase of the outfit. So, if you're planning on buying a dress at Disney, then go with the Castle package.

we brought our own dress..the fairy godmother in training took it from me and put it in the dressing room and made just as big of a deal out of it....we are doing the same thing this time. I would not pay for that bc we dont need the tiara shoes and wand. They give you a tiara and there is no way dd could walk around in those shoes, and plus she has about 10wands already lol

We did BBB- we bought our dresses and accesories before we got there and just did the #2 package- Fairfy Godmother put all their stuff in the dressing room and they were able to get dressed and still do everything. We evern were able to get the pictures done- BUT they got lost on the photo pass so it was a waste to do them. I would recommend going to the rose garden in front of the castle and get pic's there. I felt they turned out beautiful.

I go the first day to the DTD world of disney store and let DD pick out her costume, this makes the excitement last 2 days instead of 1. We then get the middle package. They will take pictures and add them to your photopass card for you. The pictures you get with the castle package are not very good quality (the paper). I have done both locations, I like DTD the best, you don't feel as rushed there. At the castle they are on a mission to get you in and get you out as fast as possible, which cuts into the experience in my personal opinion.

I completely agree! My daughter reacted the same way last year! As much as I would like to save money this year, I just can't pass up doing the whole experience for her again.
