Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Opening in April at World of Disney

Just throwin in my 2 cents! We are taking our 2 little girls age 7 and 4 in June and I have already booked them an appointment on June 6th 1st thing in the morning. We are a fairly poor family and have been saving for a long time(I mean pinch and scrape). So this is a once in a lifetime experience for my girls. I want to give them the world. They are very sweet girls who never ask for anything they don't need. So I thought this would be the perfect surprise, something of their very own. I can't wait to see the look on their face. They will be thrilled! We as grownups still play "dress-up" now and then, whether it is for weddings, dates, halloween, or in the bedroom(hee hee), so I don't see anything wrong with letting them have their own time. They know they are beautiful just the way they ar, this is just going to be a dress-up time. I think as long as parents make their kids realize that, then there is no harm done. :)

$179.00 ? OMG. for another $70.00 she's swimming with a dolphin at discovery cove.

I agree with that and I LOVE you siggy picture. I had never seen it before and died laughing. Can I copy it?

Anyway, I am torn between thinking it is cute and appauled. I have an almost 5 year old and it is my own darn fault she is a disney princess and I admit it, I feed her habbit and think it is cute. I let her dress up at the park (and her baby sister) for a few hours (with cothes under the dress.) Both were halloween costumes I got %75 off after hallowen from the Disney Store (we have a lot, but are running out of larger sizes, the sales weren't good this year :guilty: ) We play dress up daily around here, and while at WDW it is even more fun (and the pictures are priceless.) I would guess the make up there would be more giltery and play, then trashy. After all it isn't Bratz glamor girl! :rotfl:

I don't know, it seems a bit much. I think we over indulge girls and if we aren't careful it isn't going to be good in 10 15 years. I am guilty myself to a certian degree and have to set limits for both myself and the girls. However the crown package isn't bad, and if you are going to buy a dress there the prices for the 179 isn't bad. Most dresses there are 75 to over $100 anyway.

But then again, never say never. I might let her some day. If it was an actual hair cut I might even really consider it now. She only lets me cut her hair, and I would rather have someone who is good at it do it! :teeth:

I agree about the whole Jon Benette thing (however you spell her name).

Thank you everyone for posting the prices and phone contacts. We might be there in May and I am either going to avoid it so DD doesn't even know about it, or check it out. ;)

I just booked it too for April.
I took the Crown Pkg. and made it for the first full day of our trip.
The girls are going to love the hair extensions!
For these kids, it's a fun thing to do, something they have never done at home.
Maybe makeup on real little girls might not be so great but my DDs are a bit older and they are excited.
The CM told me that the girls get to take the makeup pallette home w/them and described the hairstyle choices: Princess Tiara, colored extensions, naturally colored extensions. She also said they had not decided on what exactly they would be doing w/the nails, polish or appliques. All princesses should arrive with clean, combed, tangle free hair and nails w/out polish.
I'll be sure to post an update when we get back.

Booked my 5yr dd for April 27 went with the castle pkg..I didn't hear about the hair extention choices what else is there a choice?Any ideas of what the costumes look like? When are you going? Can't wait, we did the princess tea last year and loved every second. princess:

trust me my DD is no Jon Benet. But I am booking her for the hair, make up, and nails for her birthday present. It is our vacation and something special for one day for her to make her feel special. She will be 11 shortly after our June trip. Her sister who is turning 3 in June will not be going (too young in my opinion). It is just dress up trust me my DD has great values.

I don't think anyone was calling your child a preschool beauty show queen, or questioning yours or her values. Yes, as I said in my post I a torn between thinking it is cute, and concenred. It really dpends on how it is done. I really do think that over indulging our children can be a real problem, but some people would aruge that taking them to WDW is just that, let alone dress up (and belive me I am guilty of that.) Once again, it all depends on how it is done.

There is a big difference between a 11 year old and make up and a 3 year old (as you said.)

I called again today to book a friend who is going in June. I am traveling in April.
On the recording it says:
3 hairstyles, Disney Princess with tiara and jeweled? hair pin? Or something close to that.
Disney Diva with colored faux hair and then I heard Disney Pop Princess with brightly colored hair extensions that show your individuality. Or something close, I was on hold and not taking notes. I'm sure the first one of us to get the scoop will be back on here to post all about it.

I think this is a really cute idea! What little girl doesn't play dress up? And it's a Disney vacation - I say indulge. They do have a salon like this for the big girls - Grand Floridian Spa baby!! :cloud9:

I booked my girls (5&8) yesterday for Opening Day! at 10:10. They're doing the Crown Package and I was told it would take 30 minutes. I'll post a review when we get back from spring break! I can't believe the cool timing of our trip!
