We will be visiting Disney in August and I just made appointments for my daughter, son and nephew. How many of you have done these and are they worth the money? My sister went last year and said she didn't do it for my niece because she saw a bunch of little girls walking around in their dresses and looked miserable because it was so hot and they were all done up. We are doing the package with the tshirt and tutu. Just want others opinions.

We have done both. My daughter loves the BBB!!! So worth it for us. The PL was really cute, my son loved that also. They send the boys through a secret passage to find a treasure hidden by Captain Jack himself after they get made up. I would ask that they go light with the make up around his eyes because its really hard to get off. My son looked like Adam Lambert for a couple of days after that. They were both worth it to us and my kids loved them. Never had a problem with my daughter being miserable that she was hot, they don't put that much make up on them, most of it is the hair. I would go for it!!! I'm sure they'll have a great time.

We have done Bibbiti Bobbiti Boutique. My daughter went last June and wanted to do it again so she has an appointment during our trip this coming June. I have never seen any little girl walking around miserable, but I'm sure it has happened. With the package you are getting I wouldn't worry much about it. The ones that were uncomfortable were probably wearing the princess costumes.

It's important I think with the regular princess dresses to have something in between the dress and the child's skin for comfort. My daughter's dress was a formal gown off ebay with a satin lining, not a Disney princess dress, but she still wore a camisol and shorts under it. Her appointment was in the afternoon because we had Cinderella's Royal Table reservations for dinner, but there were two other girls we saw that morning who had already had their makeovers. One was in the Jasmine outfit, the other the Belle gown.

We saw them several times because were in the same area and ended up in the same character lines. It was raining a lot of the day but it turned out they had Royal Table reservations too and they looked just as fresh as they had that morning.

Take your photopass card for the pictures during the make over and the photo session after the makeover. We loved it and she got the left over makeup and nail polish to bring home in a cute little backpack.

I can't comment on pirate's League. My son just turned 3. I'm thinking of making an appointment for him and my nephew for next summer when we go for a big family trip. He wants to be a pirate, but I don't think he'd go for the process just yet so I'm going to wait until he's 4.

We have done it both for my daughter and my sons. We did it before going to CRT the first time. The second before MNSSHP.

The first time it was definitely worth it. They all loved it.

The second time I almost wished I didn't do it. It poured!!!! We barely were able to enjoy the Halloween party let alone the BBB dressup. The line was so long for the pictures, that we decided to come back later. By that time their hair and makeup was a mess from the rain. :sad1:

Hilarious!

I've been debating BBB/PL - my DD will turn 3 on our trip. She loves to play dress-up and wear mommies makeup, but I can't help wondering if she is a little young and if it should wait for a future trip. What age do people with experience think is best?

We have a princess dress or two and i was thinking of having my BFF do her hair up with glitter. She is the hair/makeup director for a local theater and knows all the tricks...

We have done both. We did BBB at Disneyland. We booked at Disney World but I canceled when we showed up because the people there were so rude! I am a very patient tolerant person but was shocked how they started treating my daughter and I. They were busy so if you go when they are busy I would expect niceness. We booked the pirates league for both of my daughters and they loved it! We have done it twice. The staff was so nice and fun.

I would love to know the professional glitter trick. do you know which products work best. I am really tired of the cheap Halloween glitter sprays. i saw Yofi glitter spray online but can't find any reviews. I have heard people use some sort of dust. But what kind and what brands. I just want something really good.

is there a Pirates Legue at DL? sounds cool!
I am considering BBB for daughter but pretty sure son (who will then be 7) will not be impressed with the knight thing and will feel the injustice if theres nothing for him...
thx
