Hi

Its ages since I last posted on here, but I have been lurking...... So hi - it's good to be back. :cool1:

I have a query which I am sure one of you guys will be able to help with.....

I have booked DD into the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique - she has a 9am appointment. Our plan would then to be to go to Magic Kingdom. My query is, if you are staying off-site - which we are - Can you use Disney Transport to take you from Downtown Disney to the Magic Kingdom? I was thinking hubby could drop us off then he and DS could head for MK and park car etc while I stay with DD. Does this seem reasonable? How long does it take to get from DTD to MK?

Whew - sorry its a bit long winded.....

im pretty sure that the disney transport only goes from parks to hotels and not park to park so you would need to get a bus to somewhere like the contemporary or polynesian and then get the monorail to MK. i dont think there would be a problem with using the transport when staying offsite i cant recall ever being asked to produce hotel id hope this helps. Gill

There is transport from park to park, but not from DTD to the parks-to stop people from parking there for free. You would need to catch a bus to the nearest resort hotel and change there to a MK bus or monorail. Personally, I would get a cab. It won't cost much.

You could get a bus to the Contemporary and walk - it's really very close and quite a nice thing to do if you've never done it before. The walkway is part of Disney's Walk around the World path. The bus does go to the TTC and then you'd just take the monorail or ferry as normal. As Gill says, a taxi wouldn't be too expensive. Are they permitted to drop off at MK, or only at the TTC?

Another option would be to get the boat to Saratoga Springs and then a bus to MK. I think the bus is the only way of being dropped off at MK itself (as opposed to the TTC). As I mentioned in my previous post, I've a feeling taxis are only permitted as far as the TTC. I'd be interested to know.

Thanks Guys That's helpful

A taxi is a good idea - if they can drop off at MK but I wonder if Deb is right and they can only drop at TTC :confused3

I'm almost positive taxis only drop off at TTC,I know i read this somewhere, but if taxi is an option then definately get it to the Contemporary and walk to MK from there like Deb said, BTW, the Boutique is great, they really do come out little princesses:goodvibes

Thanks Fizz. Its the first time DD will have done this and she's really looking forward to it.
