Biaxin

I was prescribed this antibiotic. I took it once about 4 months ago and remember I had terrible headaches. I called the dr. who said "I don't think your headache is from the Biaxin"

Well I tried it again today for a sinus infection, I had to go lay down, my head was pounding and I felt very nauseous I felt worse after I took it then I did before

Anyone else have reactions like this to antibiotics?

Could be you have a sensitivity to Biaxin, like I do to Sulfa. When I take Sulfa, my head pounds and my face gets hot and flushed.

The only reaction I had was an awful metal taste in my mouth. It was so bad that I refuse to take it again. My Dr. says that it does him that way too. Call your druggest. They can usually tell you if its a reaction or not.

and abnormal taste (3%) and headache(2%) are listed side effects of Biaxin. Your nausea is a side-effect, too. I had severe migraine-like headaches when I took Keflex and I'll never take it again.

I took Biaxin about a month ago for strep (at least I think that's what it was), and I had no problems whatsoever. Anyway, my throat hurt so bad I would have taken it anyway, just to get rid of that pain.

I get horrible headaches from erythromyacin (sp?). It's not listed as one of the side effects I get on the print out with it, but I know for a fact that it happens.

It works great for my bronchitis, but my mouth tastes like I'm sucking on pennies for the 10 day course of it. I live with jolly ranchers in my mouth (and my TMJ killing me) when I have to take it.

Fortunately, the PA at my Dr's office that I usually ask for gives me the Z pack for bronchitis...however, it doesn't work as quick as the Biaxin.

No headaches from it, but migraines from Indocin...and that's not a common side effect, either.

It totally knocks out my bronchitis-in a hurry-but it makes me so sick to my stomach that I only take it right before I go to bed. And my pills are huge.The cure is worth it to me....
