:scared1: Jonathan just rang me from work he had been on the phone to Barclays after he had received an urgent letter yesterday saying that they had shut down his account due to suspicious activities on his Barclaycard that was sent out to him by courier, so hes rang them back and someone has transfered 3500 to a Llyods TSB account as well as a few purchasers on an O2 Prepay phone. :scared1: Barclays have stopped the transactions and got in touch straight away he know has to fill in a form saying which are the transactions he has made now we are trying to find out where his card has been swiped as he doesn't like using his card and only used it once in America at dollor which was the last transaction he carried out himself on the card. Before the dollor transaction he only has used it on uk sites such as play and amazon which are all supposed to be secure. Im going to check every purchase now from my account and from my credit card account every single week.

Ok someone has obviously had our cards swiped or got our details in Disney just looked at my statement and two transactions in LBV and one in Widnes for 300 has gone out on my card which I havent done I best ring Natwest now.

What a nightmare ~ Hope you get it sorted out quickly.

Oh no - I hope you get it sorted.

Barclays had stopped Jonathan's straight away and stopped the card they are sending him a list that he needs to tick stating which transactions are his etc they acted very quickly. I spoke to Natwest about mine and we went through the transactions from set dates and I told them which I had taken so hopefully ill be refunded soon. I think ill be checking my bank details every day.

we have had this and barclays were brillant about puting the money straight back into our account ....hope you get it sorted soon !

We have just changed our account to a cash only account no debit card. we are sick of having credit/ debit cards being cloned so we are now only using cash. I know it will sometimes be awkward but we are prepared for that.DD has a debit card so we will give her the cash and she can use her card.

Glad to hear that things are being done about this Jackie-sorry to hear this has happened to the both of you.x.

The first time we went to Florida as a couple in 2001 Richard didn't own a CC beforehand and got one as we were travelling to the states. The first time he used it in, what we thought was a really nice restaurant in Clearwater. Natwest believe a member of staff "double swiped" the card in his or her card reader. It was the second week of our trip and I think Natwest contacted us within about three days of us returning home. We had only used the card for one transaction ourselves so it wasn't complicated. Suffice to say DH no longer has a credit card, only debit cards. He prefers cash and I find it funny, to this day when DH goes on a shopping spree with his debit card his bank will "refuse" the third or fourth transaction and will ask the shop assistant to put him on the phone to confirm security details:rotfl2: they know him so well!
I'm sure it'll be sorted quickly.
