My paper was missing half the flyers - must have been -
I picked one from the middle of the pile -
and even said to the guy working - wow this feels thin...
he didn't say a word
and now that I have gone through it there are SO MANY stores missing - No K-mart, No Sears, No Filenes, etc...
hopefully I can find another paper when I get back out again later today!

I'll join you in venting! I purchased 2 papers this morning and they were both missing the circuit city flyer! Grrrrr!

It took 3 metro papers (Cincinnati, Lexington, and Louisville) to get almost a full set of ads. No Comp USA between the 3.

The Cincinnati Enquirer had 6 ads for places local to me that the nearby Lexington Herald Leader(our metro paper) did not. I knew when I picked the paper out of the drive that it did not weigh enough.

I hate automatic inserting machines used by newspapers!!

I will have to make sure that the paper I pick have the ads I want. There really is only one that I haven't seen online but I really like to see them in paper.

Last year my paper was missing the Toys R Us ad. I called the circulation department at the paper and they informed me that companies have certain markets they send their ads to, and mine wasn't one for that year. Got 'em all this year, though.

I guess I'm not on Circuit City's list either. I personally think someone is slacking!!!!

I know this isn't the case with mine as I use to be the sales person who determined the market ares for the customers - for this newspaper :)
BUT onthe bright side -
one of our tenants was coming in with a newspaper when I was out with matthew and I asked him if I could just peak at the quantity of inserts - and he started complaining about how many there are -
so I told him how mine were missing - so he fgave me all his - saving me a trip to the store later -
so now the kids are writing their traditional santa lists ;)

We had to buy 2 papers, too. Bought one early -- realized it had to be missing ads, and confirmed that at my mil's house. So we had to buy another paper on the way home 'cuz mil wasn't parting with any of her ads. ;)

I got two papers this morning...one from my driveway and one I went and bought as mine is historically missing ads.

Neither has a Kohl's or Circuit City Ad :( (I really wanted the Kohls one as I like to bring them with me when I shop!)

I didn't get Kohl's or TRU. I didn't get TRU last year either. That is just crazy!
You can flip through the Kohl's ad on kohls.com. I wrote a lot of stuff down.

We also picked a paper out of the middle of the pile--hoping it hadn't been picked through--turns out it was missing the Best Buy, Circuit City, and Office Depot ads (DH's favorites). Grrr! Especially aggravating because DH is so hrd to buy for, and I was hoping he'd see some things he wanted! (Besides Christmas, his birthday is also in December!)

Our papers were missing Kmart and Kohls that I can think of off top of my head. And only our local paper had the Walmart add. The two other papers that I got (one SF and that is a "regional" paper both didn't have the Walmart add. My guess is because it woudl have shown the two computers at $100 less then what ours will have it for.

This always aggravates me as well. With the Sunday paper you can call them and they will bring you another if you are missing things. Of course, you've got to know they are missing. Sometimes I call and make them read me the list of inserts I've had so much trouble.

I was prepared to at least call them if yesterday's paper was obviously missing anything (don't know if I would have found anyone there) but it seemed to be complete.

well when we get our papers on sunday they are already made up with everything in them
i hate to say but people steal the ads all the time
or buy 1 paper and take ads from another
it happens every sunday
someone always callsup up saying stuff if mising
unfortunately its almost always from other customers not the store

Wow! People detest radio and TV commercials but they steal ads from newspapers!

Many newspaper companies ship out some parts of the Sunday paper on Saturday with separate bundles for the ads and the features. A person in the store is supposed to collate the sections after the news sections are delivered late Saturday night. Once in awhile the store employee makes a mistake.

If your home delivered paper is defective, another (probably complete) one may be delivered but probably not until the next day.

When I delivered newspapers, I had to take a new one right away anytime that a customer said they did not get one or something was missing.

I know where the missing Kohls and Office Depot ads were, I had 2 of each in my paper. :rotfl: But I was missing Best Buy, Office Max and probably a few others.
