We are arriving on 11/29/2010 Staying for 5 nights at the Coronado Springs Resort (would love to stay at a deluxe, but cannot afford it) and have the Magic Your Way Plus Dining and Park Hopper Passes.

I have no idea what all this code stuff is, I would love to find some though if it would help us upgrade or rooms or lower our costs. This will be our first trip to DW.

Any help?

Thanks.

It's really confusing at first.

You can check the WDW website under "special offers" for deals. You can call WDW and ask if they are running any specials/discounts for your dates, too.

If you have an Annual Pass (or are willing to buy one) there may be other discounts as well. Same goes for Disney Visa cardholders.

My advice is to keep checking on this board, keep checking WDW website, and keep calling them until you find a discount. If you're paying full price for CSR I'm pretty sure you can get a deluxe for the same price (or better) with a good discount applied.;)

It's a bit early for end of Nov. discount (that I know of...) but I would suggest you keep checking. We don't ever pay rack rate for our stays at WDW.

Have you considered renting DVC points? It's a cheaper way to stay at deluxe. Chevk out the point renting thread under the DVC section.

Disney Vacation Club = DVC

For your first trip, I wouldn't get into renting points. It can get pretty complicated. There are not any discounted rates for your dates yet, but I would keep watch here in this section of Disboards for any discounts that cover your dates. Then you can call Disney and tell them you would like to apply the discount to your reservation.

:thumbsup2 I agree with this. IMO getting a good discount/code is hard enough to decipher the first time around, without making it even more complicated.;)

Checking on this board is the best way to find out if a general code has been released -- also sign up for email info on the WDW website and request the free DVD -- that sometimes helps.;)

Disney always seems to offer some time of discount. Like the other Disboard family advise. Just keep checking the boards to see what new deals our out.

Right now Disney is working through August, so it will be a few more months until they will think about putting something out for that time frame (IMO).

Should there be a deal that will fit your family. All you have to do is call Disney and change your reservation over to the special that is out.

It is a waiting game. Right now alot of families are holding hope for free dining to be released for late summer early fall.

Nothing like keep us on our toes for deals and promos

Have you signed up at Disney's website yet? Do so. Then price out a few trips for the dates you're interested in and save them.

Once Disney knows who you are, you may get an email or postcard with a pin. Some have used this method and had a "pin" emailed to them.

I tried it recently and received an email with a room only discount "pin" for 20% off Value resorts, 30% off Mods and 40% off Deluxe resorts with dates thru December. (A pin is a discount sent specifically to you and your family. A code is not specific to a particular person.)

There are a number of threads floating around the dis that contain advice on how to get a pin. And there is a sticky at the top of this forum with more about codes and pins.

Good luck and happy planning! :lovestruc

have a read thru the link in my signature about CODES and PINS.. that will also help.
