At USF Sat 8/24 I reluctantly placed my backpack, containing a very expensive video camera in the lockers at MIB, where signs entering the ride stated "no carry on bags allowed" - I pulled my wallet and $ and put them in one of my pockets - my room card was in the other pocket. As I backed away from the locker the red button is flashing and it says 'push to lock' - I do and it locks. As I get on ride I am surprised to see so many people with bags and a net in the car for carry on bags - I am upset that I left my camera! Return to locker and get my pack safely, but there is an English family and several guards standing nearby - the mom is sobbing! They have had their bag, containing all their ID, $ and $1000 camera stolen from their locker - I suspect that perhaps they missed the step of pushing the red button in to lock the locker and it would be easy for someone watching to see if people did not lock their lockers before walking away - or maybe there is some way of getting into the lockers? What a nightmare for them! Needless to say I always took my bag onto the ride from then on with no problem - I did, however loose my room card from out of my pocket ( that ride really spins!) and had to go to Guest Services who gave me a handwritten note for FOTL for the rest of the day and called RPH to cancel all charge privileges on the card. So be sure and push that red button on the locker - or disregard the sign and place your bag in the net - why do they have that sign there if they don't enforce it?!
