Beware of PCA/Wal-Mart portrait studio *Update pg. 5*

I got a call from PCA this afternoon. They had received notice of my complaint with the BBB. A customer service manager called and apologized for the poor quality of the pictures and the way we were treated by more than one of their company's representatives. She said they are going to be reprimanded, and the customer service rep who told me to "leave it alone" is going to have to go back into training. Anyway, PCA is issuing me a full refund plus sending me a certificate for a free $99 package. I told her that I am still very sore about the whole ordeal, but I appreciate her calling me and giving me a refund. I let the copyright issue go. I just hope they follow through, and I actually get the refund.

good for you babiesX2! Yes, BBB can help in many situations. It also helps unknowing people who might check up on a company be a wiser consumer.

While it's sad that they'd treat you this way in the first place, it does sound like the manager has done what can be done to "make it up to you". I'd be disappointed that it happened, but satisfied with the solution.

Hope your next visit works out. :)

About 4 years ago we had a problem with our photos at Walmart & they ended up giving us a full refund & a free package (they offered it too us immediately, no hassle like you've been through). Our photos taken with our free package were even worse! Didn't pursue it since they were free. Haven't been back since.

I probably will go back -- hey, can't complain about free. I just won't go to the local studio and it won't be for special milestone pics either.

That's great that someone at that company has a bit of common sense! It shouldn't take a call to the BBB to fix something like this, but it's wonderful that it all worked out for you! If that $99 gift cert is good at a differant location, I'd find a new studio to redeem that at! ;)
