Beware of expiration date on rewards card!

Well, it looks like I'm out of luck. No one wants to or can help me. I have called Chase and they told me to call the rewards line and the merchant (disney shopping). I did both and they told me to call Chase. I have put in a dispute with Chase, but it does not sound like they will do anything. Just another Disney Visa card dissapointment. I guess I will end up chalking it up with an expensive lesson learned. Thanks for all your help!

I had a problem with my interest on a different Chase card once- my bill was late (My fault, though!), but called and asked them to lower my rate back to the low fixed (it can't hurt to try). I told them if not, I would transfer the entire balance to another card and close my account. They put in a request, and a month or 2 later, I got a letter stating I was a good customer and they lowered it. So maybe talk to a manager???

SOmething like this happened to me at Office Max. I purchased chairs for my office waiting room, and conference chairs. It was on a zero percent interest for 6 month's offer, so I could pay off the chairs in six months with no interest. THe offer ended the day I was at the store, and purchased them with the Office Max card. But, because they were special order, they did not post to the card till they were delivered, and when I got the first bill, it was a regular charge, I lost the 6 months 0% interest rate.

I called, and explained what happened, and the lady said they would honor the six months...but....the day that the charge actually went through, they had a 14 month zero percent interest rate promotion, did I want that? DUH!

Hopefully, this worked as I have yet to get a new bill. I would continue to pursue this with disney, and not let it go. Good luck!

We've had a great experience with our Disney Visa - we just spent the week after Thanksgiving at the GF SL concierge b/c we had $900 reward dollars. I did however, lose the rewards card shortly before we left and was told there would be no time to replace it. I panicked and never found it, but because I kept all the paperwork, Disney allowed me to use the account number and put $900 of our resort cost on the card over the phone. What could have been $900 down the toilet, (we would not be returning to Disney before the expiration of the card) was not. I did find the card in between seat cushions on a chair several weeks after we returned!
