Beware: ABC distributing company

I ordered the $18.95 princess dresses from ABC on 7/3. Then I heard about the disneydirect sale -- $14.95 for the same dresses (sale ended 7/4).

ABC doesn't disclose shipping costs (I didn't learn this until I was too far along in the process of ordering, big doi for me), so I contemplated ordering from disney also -- but didn't, thinking my ABC was already shipped.

Today I called ABC -- I was on hold for 45 minutes.....the clerk was nice but told me they can't tell me what the cost of shipping is until the package is sent. And....my order hasn't even been placed yet. I could have ordered from disneydirect afterall.

The lesson is: order from a reputable company like disneydirect.

I think if you purchase three of the same thing no shipping right? Like if you go in with other people?

They always charge shipping - it's just supposed to be less if you purchase 3. I've pretty much quit buying from ABC. By the time you pay for shipping you could get it less elsewhere.

I'm with you. I've been taken by their shipping costs too many times. Unless it's a hard-to-find item (which is not usually the case with them), I go elsewhere, also.

I have ordered from ABC for years and never had a problem. If you have your order sent to a business address that is pretty much in a commercial section of town, you can save money on shipping. Shipping to a residential address means less put in your box due to weight restrictions. It is never cost effective to order one or two items from them. I order many items at once even if I have to order for friends too then we split the shipping. You never get free shipping and you do not have to order in lots of three.

I too, have been taken many times with ABC shipping. I used to get a lot of Christmas gifts from them, but they always seem to come in multiple shipments with multiple shipping charges, which is sometime more than the product. I have sworn to never do it again.
