We have done the dining plan many times but whenever I work the numbers we come out saving money mostly because if drinks? Just wondering if I'm adding things wrong...

So let's say I'm trying to price a CS meal. I add the meal price AND THEN cost of a drink($3) and then a dessert($4-5). When I do this, I absolutely always find the dining plan is cheaper for us than cash. Am I doing something wrong? Prices on menus don't include drink or dessert, correct?

(Obviously wouldn't do this at the resort CS since we would have mugs)

QS meals no longer include a dessert but they do now include an alcoholic beverage or specialty non-alcoholic beverage such as milkshakes and smoothies.

I just saw this! Ok, this doesnt change much, I was wondering why there were so many snacks!

I went through and generously added up our meals, drinks, and refillable mugs and its 100$ cheaper than the dining plan! Ack! :scared:

Maybe because we are vegetarians or my daughter occasionally just wants kids mac and cheese? I'm actually bummed about this, I LOVE the freedom of the dining plan to not worry about budgeting and not having enough money by the end. I guess I could just do gift cards and make sure there's extra. Seems silly to pay 100$ extra for convenience. :sad2:
