Name your favorite beverage tasting seminar on the Fantasy and why. I'm trying to decide which one will be the most fun.

Mixology was great - but the format will have to be changed. Participation in making the drinks was a big part of the fun! Drinks were tasty and each one was quite different.

Chocolate and liquor was really good - nice variety of drinks with pairings.

Champagne was quite good - but you have to like champagne!

Mixology used to be:
25 participants.
Group divided in groups of 5.
Each group of 5 would go behind the bar and prep 5 drinks under bartenders guidance.
Those mixed drinks shared among larger group.

It's my understanding that now, the bartender shows how to make 3 or 4 different drinks, and the whole group is served prepared drinks to sample.

When we did it (2 years ago now) they had everyone in groups of 5/6 people. For each of the drinks one person from each group went up to the bar and was instructed on how to make the drink and you made the drinks for you group. Then the next person in your group would come make the next drink and so on.

It was a fun way to learn and interact with other guests. We met another family during our class; did another class with them, spent time throughout the cruise together; and now have a cruise booked together for 2021.

I cannot imagine with everything going on that they would let that many people touch everything on the bar!

Tequila and Margarita! It was great....they said I had a really good time! Just kidding. It really was very good though,

Mixology was fun, but the drinks weren't really my cup of tea (sooooo sweet). And i can't imagine the audience participate part will come back in teh Covid-era. I liked the martini tasting better in term of the drinks, but you have to like classic martinis in addition to the sweet ones (they have both)--a lot of people went in expecting cosmos and made funny faces when they tried the dry martini and dirty martini. I like champagne, but prefer the champagne pairing at Remy brunch to drinking champagne by itself at the tasting.

We've enjoyed Mixology on the Wonder, Magic and Fantasy. Only on the Fantasy did the group go to the bar and participate. We had just as good of a time at all three (really five because we've gone twice on each of the classic ships).

I also did chocolate and liquor on my own (which is also rare for me!) and thought it was great!!

Martini, Cognac, Whisky, Bourbon, Scotch....We've done quite a few. The 10pm seminars have a different vibe than the afternoon. I don't think there has been one we didn't like. Our first cruise everything was full and we just went to whatever opened up the night before as people canceled before the 24 hour deadline. Love to hear that folks have done the Champagne tasting, we call it the unicorn because there's never an open spot.

Have fun OP! Let us know how it goes!!

Over the course of my cruises, I have done all of the beverage seminars offered. I loved the Champagne on the Fantasy on embarkation day. It was great way to kick off the cruise.

My favorite one though, would have to be one that was not published online and was only bookable onboard the Fantasy. It was the rum and mojito that was offered at Castaway Cay. Sitting on the dock surrounded by the beautiful ocean and island was my the best atmosphere. Not many people opted for it so it was only my Mom, myself, and two other people so we learned a lot. I would highly recommend!

On our most recent Fantasy cruise, we really enjoyed the beer tasting. We only had about 10-12 people in the group and the bartender who did the tasting was outstanding.

We did a martini tasting on the Fantasy a few years ago and no one showed up but the two of us! Seriously. We had the entire class to ourselves and the bartender was so engaging. We really learned a lot and had such a fun time.

I thought the rum tasting was great. Lots of interesting information from the bartender about how each type of rum was different and what to taste for. Tequila was similar. Bourbon was okay, but they had us taste the best bourbon second, so everything after that tasted terrible by comparison. We should have worked up to the good stuff.

We've done Beer, Wine, Whiskey, Tequila, Rum, Mixology and Chocolate & Liquor, on the Fantasy, Dream and Magic. They were all great but my favorites are Mixology and Chocolate & Liquor. I agree it won't be as fun without the guest participation.

We were on the Fantasy in February (got back Feb 29th, feels like years ago).

We did Mixology and Tequila.

Mixology was with the groups where we went up and made drinks. Our group was small, 5 of us total. One couple didn't want to participate, and the other woman only wanted to make one drink once, so Fiance and myself got to go up twice.

Tequilia was great, it was all patron. had 4 shots and 2 mini margaritas.
