I was just wondering what size drink do you get on the ddp? Most places offer small or large. Does it matter?

At some we were given what I consider a medium and at others what I consider large. I guess it depends on the place and how the CM rings it up medium or large. :confused3 :sunny:

I know at the bakery in Norway you get a large soda, but at the French bakery you can only get a medium soda.

i just always specify a large XXXX to drink and that's usually what we would get. if i was ever unsure of what was included i just asked nicely and everyone was very helpful to answer any questions.

one big difference that i noticed this trip (just last week) as compared to when i went in january on the ddp was that most of the counter services in the parks had smaller drinks that came with the kids meals. in the past they would get a fountain drink or a regular bottle of apple juice, now i noticed it was juice boxes or small cups of drinks. at the resorts and at cs places where they didn't have specific children's meals (pizza planet, casey's corner) they gave us the same size drinks for the kids and adults.

also the sizes of the water bottles changed. not sure of the exact sizes before, but they used to be the big ones with the sports tops on them. now it is a 20 oz. and 10 oz. (i think).

not sure if these changes are just during the free dining plan time or if they are going to be permanent. regardless, you get lots of food with the plan!!!

enjoy!

I do the same thing. This past May though we ate lunch in Norway and when we asked what was included in CS the CM told us a cup of soup, a sandwich, any sweet pastry, and a large soda. The next day we ate lunch in France and just assumed we'd get a large soda, so that's what we ordered. However, as we checked out, the CM took the two large cokes away and told the other CM that only medium sodas were allowed on the dining plan.

We just got back, and at every table service place we had what I would consider a medium drink, with free refills. At every counter service we went to, we ordered large drinks with the free dining plan (which was good, because the kids meal drinks are puny, so DH and I ended up sharing with the kids!

Just back from 10 days on the DDP and every place we went we got the smaller drinks if you did not ask.

If you ask for the large, we always got it.

At Mexico the girl made us get a regular. She didnt believe me when I said everywhere else we got a large.
Also at Big River Grill the waiter tried to tell us that they werent supposed to give refills on soda, but he would for us because he didnt mind. That made us feel awkward to order any refills then.

Ok that's weird. I never heard of a TS at WDW not giving free refills for soda.:confused3
