Between these two restaurants, which would you choose?

Whispering Canyon Cafe
Biergarten

Which would you choose and why? (We have a 3 year old and a 7 year old if that makes a difference. They're also picky eaters, which is why I'm concerned about Biergarten. I've heard the atmosphere is great, though. Is it easy to get to WCC from Epcot?--those are my concerns)

Whispering Canyon without a doubt.

The atmosphere is great, really fun as long as you don't mind a bit of friendly banter with the servers. Your kids will love it.

The food was simple (at least mine was, I'm a vegetarian) but really nice, the portions were large and the theming was excellent. Can't recommend it ebnough.

My kids preferred Biergarten. It's such a fun atmosphere and there were lots of kids chocies on the buffet.

We tried WCC once and while it was fun it was a little too "over the top" for us. Kids liked Biergarten a lot more.

I would choose Biergarten. But for kids probably WCC.
And for picky kids -- definitely WCC.

Biergarten is fun and I liked the food but there is not a separate children's buffet if I recall. So with picky eaters I would go to Whispering Canyon, which is also fun. My kids are big ketchup eaters and they loved it!

We have never eaten at Biergarten, but we really loved Whispering Canyon. Whispering Canyon is very well themed, fun and interactive. The food was good also.

Been to both, liked both and loved neither.

We had a nice time at WCC, didn't get a fun server which didn't really matter to me but did to the kids who had high expectations of a messing about meal. The platter was very nice, nothing fancy but good, plentiful and well cooked. The kids desserts were worms in dirt, nothing special. Drink was what you would get at any Disney Resort.
They do a little pony race every hour.

Biergarten: the kids loved the show and lots of little ones were up and dancing. DH and I loved the big steins of German Beers, seem to remember one of the Oktoberfest light beers being served.

The food was fine, lots of sausage, cabbage, pickles, great desserts if you like cakes and strudels.

My negative would be the seating at Biergarten. We were lucky and were sat at a bench with two couples who were all American, very friendly and very patient when my DD (then 5) kept wanting to get up to the buffet and restrooms. Can imagine this would annoy some people though. Equally at the other side of the restaurant were four young lads obviously on a crawl around the world and the worse for wear, being seated at their table with a young family would have ruined my trip.

I've been to both and preferred the food at Whispering Canyon. However, I thought BOTH were a lot of fun for the kids!!! My husband really liked Biergarten (I think for the beer :rotfl:)! I have a super picky eater (DS 5) so Whispering Canyon was perfect for him (lots of down home choices). When we went to Biergarten, it was before he was born so I didn't have his pickyness to consider! Not that I would use that as a main factor. We LOVE Ohana and there was not one thing he would eat. We are still going to eat there on our upcoming trip though!!! This time we may just pay extra to order him a boring kids meal! :rotfl:

Good luck with your choice!
