Does anyone remember what used to be between the canada and england or uk pavillions at epcot? I remember about 11 years ago there was something there like watching a movie about jerusalem or something. Today I looked and there is a gate blocking it and I havent seen it open in a long time.

:confused3 That doesn't sound familiar to me. Anybody?:confused3

behind the gate is millennium village. it's still occasionally used as convention space.

It is now called World ShowPlace and is used for a variety of special events. Some of the events I have seen there include the Dolls and Teddy Bears Show, the Dance Worlds competition and the All-Star Party for Disney Channel Games 2008.It is a really nice facility.:)

It was where the Millennium Village was. The movie about Jerusalem was a simulator ride. You sat in moving seats and took a tour of Jerusalem. I loved that ride and the whole village. I really hated to see it close at the end of the millennium celebration.

We went to an weekend event there in June. They had the Epcot Pin Trading Convention there.

me too:sad2:

Yes, when it originally opened Millennium Village had exhibits from a bunch of countries including Israel, which did have a simulator ride.

Yea.... I was so disappointed when disney closed it. I figured it was an experimental item that they would pick and choose what they would keep.

Now it makes sense, I remember it now that you mentioned the simulator. That was back in 2000 when we went.

thanks for the refresher.

Its amazing how Disney can hide stuff out of site. I never even knew that was there, and from the picture its a HUGE facility!

I remember millenium villiage. I wish it was still open.... I liked the little stands for different countries not featured in the showcase. I also remember having lunch or something from one of the stands.

If you think that's impressive, look on Google Earth or Live at the Haunted Mansion from above. Any inside ride, really, but the Haunted Mansion is absolutely enormous.

BTW, this is one of my earliest (and obviously, crudest) "maps."

To the left of the words, "Skyway Station" is the tiny (by comparison) Haunted Mansion
house that is visible to guests entering the attraction.
